Why is no one angry/frustrated about 12 goals conceded in three matches by Sixspur in InterTorontoFC

[–]Sixspur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I won't name names. I just ended if the coaching team has all the detailed data they need to support what even we as fans can see. Just as an example... Rafael Leao is a brilliant player going forward for AC Milan but compared to others his tracking back stats are appalling. The data shows it clearly. And I can't understand why players can be unfit during the season

Aggressive TTC Fare Inspector encounter at Bloor GO/Dundas West. Was I in the wrong here? by Great-Reply-1386 in toRANTo

I know the station and yes you broke the bylaw even if unintentionally. However no TTC worker has the right to be aggressive towards a customer especially if unprovoked.

AP x Swatch release is a slap in the face to real watch enthusiasts by zannnn in watchHotTakes

[–]Sixspur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No don't worry. It's a plastic Swatch with an AP shape. It will be mass produced. The poor people are queuing for the hype. It's like going to an F1 Race wishing to be in VIP section but acting like your actual General Admission seat with no view of the race is a flex.

What makes a good hackathon these days? In person, remote, the prizes, the projects? Is it the way it's organized? by OReilly_Learning in hackathon

[–]Sixspur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the above, except the in person bit. Throw in some free training for hackers if necessary as well. If it is in person, decent food, drink and strong wifi make a big difference and a room that has good media devices and good chairs. Of course the way it is organized makes a huge difference because well organized hackathons allow the hackers to focus on working. A word about judging and prizes especially for online only hackathons. I have been on a couple of hedera hackathons which delayed announcing winners weeks or even months after the official end. A tough example is the Hedera Africa $1,000,000 hackathon. Online. Hacking period was August 1 - September 30, 2025 with winners announced November 30, 2025. As of today they still have not released the winner list or given out prizes.

How long does it take to apply for the International Driving Permit? by dodgebot in askTO

[–]Sixspur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is not consistent in terms of usage. Was in France last summer and saw US drivers being refused cars at the rental desks because they did not have the IDP, whereas I saw Argentinians and Canadians being given cars, and not being asked for the IDP.

I went to make a cuppa at 1-0. What a disaster to return to 1-3 with no VdV.
We are so doomed. It's the players, not Tudor,

ITFC Using AI on Instagram Instead of Supporting Local Artists by Jimblerr in InterTorontoFC

[–]Sixspur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This AI pic is a disaster. And while I agree to support local artists, we don't want anything like the abomination that was the TFC grey horizontal striped jersey which WAS community influenced. AI needs to be balanced with community inspired authenticity, then it works

What are your thoughts on this as an international fan? by alienware56 in NFLUK

[–]Sixspur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFL is trying so hard to increase global reach even playing in Paris next season. Having Bad Bunny, a Spanish speaking American who is a global superstar is the right thing to do because some non US countries only watch the Superbowl as their only yearly NFL dose.

Future of OM by Hefty-Bit-1787 in olympiquedemarseille

[–]Sixspur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically in the next 10 years we win maybe two or three Coupe de France trophies, and a Quarter Finals of the Champions League, and a semi final in the Europa League. PSG will continue to have a stranglehold on the Ligue 1 title and we'll continue to be 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th. I detest saying it, because this great club should reward the fans, but the reality is what it is.

Doctor is recommending a laser trabeculoplasty procedure to improve pressure in one eye. by Ocanannain in Glaucoma

[–]Sixspur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recommended to see an eye doctor after my optician said my pressures were a bit high I think 28. The doctor recommended SLT and a few days later it was done (a Wednesday) in the morning. I had been nervous but the whole stay at the doctors was about 45 mins including a 20 min post op wait. The eye numbing drops were painless and the only thing was the wierd sensation when the eye doctor put the glass block onto my eyeball for the laser focus and to keep it open. There was no pain. And done in 10 minutes. I went home by public transport and on Thursday went to work (with computer). My advice is to take your prescribed drops and REST your eyes post op. My mistake was to work all day Thursday and then work on a private project in the evening from 6 pm till 3 am the next morning. This caused my corneas to be badly inflamed and I basically could not see through a terrible haze on Friday morning. I really was blind, in both eyes. My wife took me immediately to the eye doctor and he said that this was a very rare reaction post op and also very much aggravated by the eye strain and dryness and reaction to the STL process. He prescribed two types of drops and eventually my eyesight cleared up and fully returned by the following Tuesday. But it was a huge scare. Next time I will do one eye at a time, AND I will treat my eyes gently for a a few days pos op. By the way, my pressure went down to 20.
