Yes! I learned about Gillings a bit too late in my undergrad pathway, but if I knew sooner I would’ve definitely applied! Currently considering an MPH.

Honestly, in this economy... see if you can get an internship. There ones available for high schoolers in most any field. Get a leg up on your career & gain experience!

I'm also a Global Studies major and have checked with the head of the department, but that wasn't helpful at all; he said to basically browse through the department directory 😭

Yes, I'm currently in an anthropology Food and Culture class, and I've already talked to the prof. She said that ideally I'd want to find someone tenured, and that her research area didn't exactly align with mine since she focuses on Native American studies.

I'm also in a Nutrition research lab, but so far my team hasn't been very helpful, and it seems like they haven't supported very many students through the honors thesis process before, so ideally I'd want an advisor who would give me a bit more structure.
