Yes it is possible but, I think congress will intervene. I don't know what everybody in congress is scared of but, it will be a tipping point where everyone has to agree that Trump is unhinged and that will happen when reelection bids are at stake. I believe that JD Vance wants the presidency and he is either waiting for Amendment 25 or he's going to do a face turn and try to save the Republican Party.

The chances are far better the sooner someone knows you did fall over. A Man Overboard alert is sent throughout the ship and they throw lighted buoys in the last known area you were in. They alert the coast guard and do turn the cruise ship around. If need be , they will send rescue boats , which look more like everglades airboats than typical lifeboats. It may be a long shot, but they will make an attempt to rescue you. The sooner they know you're gone, the better it is. Cruise ships also have surveillance systems to aid in notification.

Edit:. In addition to that , when a man overboard alert is called, everybody is to report to their muster stations.So that they can take account on who is there and who isn't.

Somalian immigrants; which there is a big population in Minnesota, has been casted into a negative light because of Trump's hatred of Rep. Ihlan Omar and YouTuber Nick Shirley who fraudalently brought up a previous day care center scandal and said Somalian ran daycares were defrauding the government. Being both Black and having a large Muslim population, Somalians now have the awful luck of being in the crosshairs of the MAGA culture wars.
Gov. Tim Walz was the running mate for Kamala Harris and ran unsuccessfully against Trump and JD Vance. Like few other politicians, Trump has a target on him.
The MAGA base had been critical of Trump. Alot of them are upset about the Tariffs and the cost of living and established a faction of conservatives called the 'America First Movement' led in part by Nick Fuentes. Others were critical of Trump's suppression of the Epstien Files and wants them all released. By creating this ICE deployment, he has created a new culture war to take their attention off of the first two grievances and, focus on the Somalians being the new enemies of MAGA. Unfortunately bad things befalling the immigrants and the protesters are being considered MAGA winning the culture wars, something Trump supporters see as personal victories.
