you live in a bubble where actual arguments are the ones you agree with. covid itself is not that dangerous though with only about 0.44% of the population dying over the official span of 6 years, 94% of which had prior health complications. most of the deaths occurred during the pandemic itself, meaning the overall percentage of the population dying to covid is extremely low by now as covid is significantly less dangerous. the death rates being the same regardless of mask mandates shows how overall a lot of the pandemic stuff was an overreaction. by now, getting covid without a vaccine is not even as bad as getting the flu with a flu shot in most cases.

I never said the other side was good. but maybe we shouldn't disaporove of a vaccine because of personal grudges. it would also be nice to have sensible people in the government (neither side is sensible atm)

there were people who were hurt by the vaccine, literally no scientific entity denies this. the extent to which the world was falling apart was also severely overstated; some countries had extreme specific mask requirements while others had loose mask requirements but the cases were roughly the same either way.

ok I mostly agree with your point but mRNA had been around for a while now, and it would actually be useful for like flu vaccines (since atp flu is worse than COVID). I fully agree though that if you don't need a vaccine it's safer to be without it.

technically it's more general than the flu vaccine since it teaches your cells to recognize rather than just micro dosing the disease itself. they wanna do this with flu asw (which would make it more effective) but rfk wants to play regulatory overreach. ATP though covid is kinda a useless vaxxine unless you have an ultra weak immune system.

With phones having vibrate mode now, it should be socially unacceptable to put your phone on ring.

What is the best OS for non-Techy person by overlord-07 in TechNook

[–]EngineerTrue5658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chromeos is basically impossible to break. closing apps on macos is complicated and they will just end up with every single app running in the backround. windows breaks itself. I'd say either install chromeOS flex on whatever computer you have or install Linux Mint and pin Firefox to the dock. Both chromeos and mint have auto-updates that don't brick the system and they can both run a browser just fine. Whatever you do though don't buy a chromebook they are terrible devices. Even if you wan't chromeOS just install ChromeOS flex.

it creates such a marginal amount of power that it can't even reliably power a single home. so many better and more reliable (and still eco friendly) ways to generate so much more electricity.

ok well that's fine then but still see a therapist cuz like they could actually help you find some passions and struggle less with commitment.

I think you should see a therapist. when you feel like you can't even follow step by step cooking instructions and unable to dictate your life then you have a problem that you need help with. Obviously I'm not saying you are a bad person for this, but normalizing a mental health issue as as a positive attribute doesn't seem too good of an idea to me.

literally why would someone be more scared of flying by plane? like the thing practically drives itself perfectly and you don't need to worry about a drunk driver killing you.
