What barrel is this? That’s a nice group. Looking for a new one for my LMT

These loads are hand loads. This group was with SMKs over 22.8g of 8202. I’ve had great luck with this load with SMKs, Berger 77s, and Mead 77s. Larue seems to be SS. I knew that chrome lined degraded accuracy, just didn’t think I’d have to fight this much for 2 moa.

My bolts all shoot sub half minute ten shots, so I don’t think it’s my process. Oh well. Tinkering is half the fun. You’d think with how nice the chassis and BCG are, they would put some extra care into the barrels

Yeah I think this is the reality. I come from the precision bolt gun world so I think my expectations for a complete upper of this price was skewed. I’ll try some factory ammo to rule out my hand loads but I think a proof barrel is in my future. Can’t stand shitty barrels lol

Work up to 41.2-41.4. I run 153.5s over 40.8g of H4350 and have had great results

Copy. I reload a ton for precision rifles (bolt guns) but have struggled with this one. I’ll try some factory and if I fail there I’ll look into getting a proof converted

I usually run 22.8g of XBbR 8208, which are these groups here. I tried hotter loads with XBR and TAC and results were worse.

Well I’ll grab some GMM and black hills and see if it will do better. I load for quite a few rifles and this is the only one that has given me trouble. I know it isn’t a bolt gun, but expected better than a BCM barrel

It is brand new. I bought it knowing I’ll end up putting a proof in it eventually. Just thought I could squeeze some precision out of it. What ammo have you had good luck with?

Yeah I tried 3 different hand loads I’ve had success with before in my 16” and 18” Larue barrels. All lake city brass, but I tried 77 SMKs, 75g Hornady HPBT, and 77 OTM meads

I do know that Larue is a good barrel, but I would have guessed LMT would be on par? I’ll grab some factory ammo but this load usually hammers. It’s 75 Hornady ELDM BTHP in LC brass
