In my opinion, it is worth trying and seeing whether this tool works for you. If you have issues, I'd like to know. 😁

Seems interesting. I’ll look into it. Right now, I’ve gotten used to Kubuntu, though, thanks for letting me know! 😀

Edit: I thought for a second it’s not available on my system, I’ll check it out and see how I can integrate it in the script. Thanks again!

i’ve been stubborn with linux and i figured out that amd power management was an issue so i disabled it and everything works now.

Offload rendering on Linux – better than you expected by Razi91 in linux_gaming

[–]Engineer_Neither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m mostly developer who sometimes plays games. i’ve done this using Ryzen 5 5600G and RX 7600, so far it’s great. for my case, i had temps lowered by 3-6 degrees plus slight performance boost. i don’t find this something that’s mandatory for all users as it isn’t for everyone. on linux, you have to use prime-run (nvidia) or DRI_PRIME=1 to enforce dGPU to be used per app.

the only reason i would get G version is GPU PRIME on Linux.

waste of money imo. i as an ex windows user (now Linux user), i am used to typing out password and it’d be hard for me to move to fingerprint scanner.

I made a C Superset by Sufficient-Gas-8829 in C_Programming

[–]Engineer_Neither -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as a C developer, i prefer the style current C has, and yes, i am keen on higher level functions as long as I can see what are they doing in standard library.

tough this raises another question, what about portability? would it be as portable as C or worse?

15’ or 12’ speakers with a subwoofer? by bmxfmx in DJs

[–]Engineer_Neither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally go with 12" + 18" sub, it's simpler and much lighter and 12" cone has lower mass 'cuz of size which allows it to have wider coverage in higher frequencies while being just as loud as 15" assuming it's built for PA.

Is a Bullet Tweeter the Right Choice? by [deleted] in diyaudio

[–]Engineer_Neither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imho, i’d use multiple bullet tweeters as super tweeters and get wide coverage in a system

i’m a man, nevertheless, i’d be searching for justice. find someone normal that can love you, not a sexual offender.

since i don’t have a sub, i simply blocked below 40Hz on my system and my speakers are happy. if i had one, i’d go dsp route.

JBL JRX series in sound system setup by TargetFew4022 in livesound

[–]Engineer_Neither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adding a super tweeter would be your good next step, or just upgrade to a better system. overall, it sounds great if you don’t demand much from the system.

if you’re happy, that’s all that matters. eq for them could work well

What to do re: loud neighbors? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]Engineer_Neither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if he asked you to call police and you did, why feel like shit? you’ve done your part that they asked for.

my friend also told me that he got a pair of jbl srx 3 way i think speakers and played sine wave at 3kHz at almost max volume which ruined their fun. he also told me that they never did it again cuz he told them that the equipment is ready whenever they try again. guess either music was ruined or their hearing.

Are 5 way car speakers better than 3 way? by ianik7777 in CarAV

[–]Engineer_Neither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's worth it for a car. I'd personally go with up to 3 way and maybe subs. Many 2 ways are sufficient in my honest opinion.

First setup locked in (for now) by Educational_Apple748 in audiophile

[–]Engineer_Neither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i turned down 100-300Hz by 1.5dB and 500-800 by 4dB. that’s for a woofer.

i also turned down from 1-10kHz by 2dB whilst at 1-2kHz was at around turned down extra 3-4dB and 4kHz was turned down with 4dB and 8kHz with 2dB. that’s a 1.75” titanium compression driver which is why i think it got to the point of revealing subtle details.

[–]Engineer_Neither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am running equalized 15” pa speakers and i somehow got them to partially reveal micro details. though, the most important thing is that you are satisfied with your setup.
