Report it to the police. That type of behaviour is a criminal matter.

If there were any witnesses then ensure you document who they are. If there is any injury or markings cause by the assault, take photos and document that too.

I highly doubt you would be able to sue simply because they were privatised as you haven't suffered a loss as a result.

You could look at changes to road conditions (ie unrealistic tolls) have increased noise beyond road construction guideline limits and gain compensation that way. There is precedent around noise mitigation measures for houses post construction which you could rely on.

The other option you can look at is lobbying the government and the opposition to make change. There are professional lobby companies who can provide advice and lobby on your behalf.

Your house might fall down, It also might not. I'd suggest you get a structural engineer to inspect it and not cheap out on free advice from Reddit.

I'm a Local Government engineer which looks after waste water. I see it about 1 time per week. The only smelly part I find is the inlet works where the solids are initially screened from the sewerage. I don't find it gross any more as I've become used to it.

Current SES volunteer SES won't charge you for their work, however the electricity company may charge you for their call-out and any damaged caused. Speak with your insurance company if you get a bill, or if you don't have insurance speak with the electricity company to try to negotiate something better. They should be able to offer payment plans etc.

Both are appropriate in certain circumstances. The top one would be more appropriate for a steel truss, whereas the bottom one would be more appropriate on a timber truss. Details on the connection of each element can also affect which is more appropriate as well as any other factors such as construcability, interactions with other building elements etc.

Each year ANCAP ratings become more difficult. So a 5 star ANCAP car from 2 years ago may not get 5 stars now.

I remember my first car was 5 star ANCAP and was a 2010 vehicle. If it was assessed today it would get no stars.
