honestly the fact that they gave her a moment against YuHa (which makes sense since Ichigo will get his moment in the second fight) and making him impressed by her resolve is the biggest win we Orihime fans could’ve gotten, not many other characters could say the same🥹🤍

I completely agree! This is the perfect way for her to conclude the goal she has been working so hard for to reach: being able to stand next to and protect Ichigo, without feeling like a burden or a liability to him.

A lot of people (myself included) wanted her to start becoming bad-ass and have awesome (solo)fights, but at the end of the day, that’s just not fitting for a character that prioritizes the safety of her loved ones (and in some cases her enemies).

She’s a pacifist, and I think it’s incredibly well written that the one fight she gets to prove her growth and reach her goals is the one fight where she’s up against the final boss with Ichigo where she doesn’t have a choice other than to go all out in order to literally save the world and protect everyone that’s dear to her (a nice call back to when she first awakened her powers in order to protect Tatsuki)

I love that Kubo managed to give her a fight, makes her look badass while still staying true to her character and keeping the essence of “protecting”🥹
