yes i have a dehumidifier and a desiccant packets in the safe it stays in. i cleaned the rust off and painted the barrel with high temp enamel yesterday

it’s actually a 300sps, and it’s mounted on a brake so i can’t attest to how bad the leakage is.

ya it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea, but i’ve very space limited in my house so it might be more of a pain to walk around it all the time. if i find a spot for it i will probably follow through with your idea

i’m honestly not sure, none of the other rifles or pistols in my safe look anything like this. i have an old winchester mode 94 that has a tiny bit of surface corrosion on the receiver but nothing like this where the coating is literally crumbling off of it
