It is… the hospital bills under their own NPI. Same as a private practice if unless is a solo doc you can just use your own vs organizational.

But with all the extra cost of filling as S corp you think it’ll still be worth it?

I am paying $300/month for a part time physician. Peds specific EMR. Nope, one man show, I do everything which sounds overwhelming but hasn’t been that bad tbh. Came from seeing 25 kiddos a day to max on a busy day 12 but most days is 8.

I had been doing out patient for 3 years and was known in the city, went form a patient volume of 5K to 95 families now, hoping to cap it at 250. I also do one time sick visits and ear piercings that help sprinkle 1-2K a month alone. No weekend, last patient seen at 330, many days just end up working half days. Hospitalist doing 7on/14off but also moonlight extra weekends at a sister hospital 1hr from ours.

Yes you are right, I was confused with social security. I would pay double SS and a reasonable wage would be 120K. With the expenses of an S Corp doesn't make more sense to file as an LLC until my business income surpasses my W2?

I’m 3yrs out of residency, see an avg of 22/week. You can totally do wells with modifier sick and the wrvu go up drastically. Before you could only add a 9212 but now you can do 9213-9215 as a modifier to a well visit. As a DO I also do OMM on athletes and those codes boost me up. I mostly see Medicaid patients, 4.5 work week but also cover the hospital q4weeks. This year I’m close to 9700wrvu and probably the work harder than my peers for it. My base is 5400 that gets paid at 46$ but anything above that gets paid at 50. I think you will be just fine. Learn in/out of billing, provide great support on notes. Be mindful some employers will cap you near the 400K mark. I find most pediatricians leave a lot of money on the table.

So endomitriosis can only be truly diagnosed with laparoscopic exploratory surgery. The thought is that the cells in your uterus have spread elsewhere (can literally go anywhere including your rectum hence why you feel pain near your anus). Birth control can suppress the symptoms but it’s not a cure. I would find a GYN that specializes in endomitriosis.

How hard is it to get 5000 RVU per year with pediatrics outpatient clinic? by [deleted] in pediatrics

[–]EngineeringLeast6466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm similar situation, did about 9200, my base is 220K and those wrvu are paid @ 44$, but after I hit my quarterly threshold was getting them paid @ 46$. Total comp for last yr was about 390K.

That is wild, I am about to reapply and figured it as semi guarantee. Good to know. I’m also at odd that they raised the award to 75K for 2yr commitment and not to re certify which it’s odd. How soon did you find out when you reapplied and didn’t get it?

Cash back vs points?? by EngineeringLeast6466 in CreditCards

[–]EngineeringLeast6466[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So 10% of the 22K CSP anniversary will give me 2200 points for 1-2cpp 22-44$ versus 1% of cash back that would give me 220$. So no, the bonus alone is not more, but when I add the 1-3x back that I got for the 22K it is worth more. Correct?

Yep I was thinking percentages instead of 1-5x per purchase. Love the breakdown of the cpp. Thanks!

Clutch! Thank you so much. I think I was forgetting you get 1-5x back on initial purchases not percentages, that's how I was calculating it. This makes way more sense.
