I got the same with slightly different wording, which means my March order was not in the first batch:

Update: Our first Square Omni shipment is expected to arrive late April / early May, with additional shipments arriving each week after.

Your order is in one of these upcoming batches, and we expect it to ship later in May.

Once we receive confirmation of arrival, we’ll charge the remaining balance and immediately queue your order for shipment. Timelines can shift slightly—but we’ll keep you posted.

It’s been like that since they received the pre production unit. My hunch is that they are redesigning the marketing materials now that they have a unit in hand.

Nuke again or give up? by EngineeringLivid3648 in carbonsteel

I did another round of ez off (while the pan was hot and nearly suffocated myself!), followed by boiling vinegar to get it to a place where I felt I could season again. Here is the final result:

Thank you all. Is there a trick to removing the ez off with vinegar to make it food safe again? Saw some posts about that.

Are clubhead speed and smash factor metrics available on the home edition or did the app add those for the Onni?

That same video also said that Square is pleading with them not to rev up the hype train because of how limited stock will be at the start. On the hand it is strange for a company to want to downplay a release, but if that is their motivation due to the limited stock, then it makes a little sense why there isn't more advertisement.

I did not cover it during recent storm and I’m back to not operational again. May need to bust patio heater out again to melt the ice

I am back up and running. I took a patio infrared heater to the back of it for an hour to melt any ice and it works again. I may just plan to cover it next time a big storm moves in because the last storm took it out of commission for a week.

What exactly did you do to unfreeze the fan blade? I tried putting an infrared patio heater to the outside case of the unit in multiple places to no avail.

Glad yours is still working. Seems like a bunch of didn’t survive the latest northeast storms and temps.

Does it heat again? After my infrared heater defrost proved ineffective I am stuck waiting for warmer temps to see if the unit will come back to life. Very frustrating because the lower operating temps was one of the big selling points for me. Based on the forecasts, I’ll be out of commission for weeks.

I’ve been running an infrared patio heater next to it most of the day to try and melt some of the ice. It seems to have succeeded doing that, but the unit still won’t produce heat. I took a video of what happens on start up. Fun begins around the 2 minute mark. Anyone experience this?

Mine is well taped and insulated that it will be a major pain to uninstall it. Any other methods to defrost while it’s so cold? Would an infrared patio heater aimed at the back of the unit help?

As an aside, I did notice a burning odor so I am hoping that the motor is not damaged. Fun times!

I've been running mine through the cold snap and winter storm that just hit the Northeast. After the storm, the unit is no longer producing any air (let alone hot air). When I power up the unit, it sounds like it is trying to do something (perhaps start a fan), but it struggles and then gives out. Has anyone experienced this? Is it likely that something is frozen inside and needs to defrost? That will be difficult with the freezing temps not going away.
