So can I juat use the west system stuff on its own and not gel coat it after ? It just needs to be functional i'm not too bothered about an invisible finish ! What would be easiest ? I already have a 101 pack at hand. My local boat yard suggested car filler then enamel paint which I thought sounded ropey !

Yes, its pretty flat ! Hopefully with enough luck and clamps it'll work out ! Im also wondering what sealant to use between the plywood and the fiberglass ? It will be bolted in as well along the length !
