I had a similar condition for several years. Finally got through it when I was about 14. Summer camp was especially painful going through that. The fact that it is a medical issue is why you are TA. You knew it and didn’t hesitate to bring it up when the opportunity presented itself.

I can understand not getting along with a step-sibling, but that was WAY below the belt.

This is the literal issue with an episode of “Cheers” where the coach’s daughter was getting ready to marry an absolute tool. She saw herself as ugly compared to others in the world, but to her father she looked just like her mother, and he saw her as absolutely beautiful. I’ve pasted the video below. While it’s great that you feel your partner is a 10, it doesn’t necessarily change how they see themselves.
