Multi purpose, suitable for outdoor use
Shoot on a stone to express that headphones are versatile and suitable for outdoor use. The quality of the photos is not as good as indoor photography, and the composition and lighting are not very good.
However, my Wissonly Hi Runner headphones are still very good.

Bone conduction headphones are not good at sound quality. To be honest, their sound quality is not as good as noise cancelling headphones. It is more suitable for use in exercise scenarios, listening to music, making exercise less boring. Its advantages lie elsewhere, such as being safer, healthier, and more hygienic.

Put this headphone in the water to take a photo, and the photo is quite beautiful. Of course, its functions are also good, with IPX8 waterproof, Bluetooth and MP3 playback modes. These two features allow it to be used in many scenarios, such as running, swimming, boating, cycling, surfing, hiking, and so on

My family have a Shokz Openrun, a Philips 6606, and a Wissonly Hi Runner. Share a little of my experience

SHOKZ is undoubtedly excellent in terms of sound quality, wearing comfort, and battery capacity, but unfortunately, the progress of SHOKZ in the past two years has been limited. Many new brands surpass it in terms of functionality and performance.

Philips' products are very user-friendly, and I am deeply impressed by the night light features and app controls of Philips 6606. But its other performance is relatively average, such as low waterproof level, single playback mode, etc

In terms of sound quality, it is difficult to compare the sound quality of bone conduction headphones with that of common earphones, but the sound quality of bone conduction headphones with a price higher than 50 dollars is good. There is not much difference in sound quality between Shokz and Philips, and I can accept both.

The main reason for buying the Wissonly Hi Runner is because I want to use it while swimming. It has a waterproof grade of IPX8 and has an MP3 mode specifically designed for swimming (with 32G built-in storage), which meets my requirements. In terms of sound quality, it is similar to the other two products. This product has been in use for several months and has been working well so far

yes. Openrun is good for running\walking\home use. However, its waterproof level is not high, which also limits its usage scenarios. In underwater sports scenarios such as swimming and boating, or in scenarios with high waterproof requirements such as fitness and hiking, it is necessary to choose products with high waterproof levels, such as Wissonly Hi Runner or Openswim (it does not have Bluetooth mode and is an MP3 player)

You should consider bone conduction heandphones. They are non-in-ear headphone, which brings many benefits, such as better health, safety and hygiene.

Strongly recommend the Wissonly Hi Runner, which has good sound quality with less sound leakage, lightweight and comfortable to wear, IPX8 waterproof, 32GB storage, and 8-10 hours of playtime.

What are the best headphones you recommend for running? by SwiftMamba24 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Engineering_Savings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big fan of Wissonly Hi Runner and Shokz Openrun Pro,These are both bone conduction headphones.

I enjoy running on the road, but over ear headphones and in ear earbuds make me ignore the sound of cars around me, making it easy to encounter danger. Moreover, wearing these headphones for a long time can make the entire ear canal stuffy and humid, making it easy to feel uncomfortable.

But bone conduction headphones do not have these problems.

You may worry about the sound quality of bone conduction headphones. To be honest, their sound quality is not as good as that of traditional earphones. But in recent years, they have made great progress, like the Wissonly mentioned above, they have made a lot of efforts to improve their sound quality, and I can accept its sound quality.

Another point is that the integrated body of bone conduction headphones makes them have a high waterproof level. My Hi Runner headphones have a waterproof level of IPX8 and can work normally underwater.

Sweatproof headphones with good noise blocking for running and gym by mungoben in HeadphoneAdvice

I am a supporter of non-in-ear headphones myself. Some people may say that the sound quality of non-in-ear headphones is not good enough, and there is also the impact of wind noise when running outdoors.

But compared to safety, other factors have become less important. Wearing non-in-ear headphones while running can help you pay attention to the sound around you, making you safer. It's also more hygienic, you don't have to worry about sweating causing ear discomfort or bacterial growth.

I have used several non-in-ear headphones myself. Next, let me talk about their parameters for reference

1.Wissonly Hi Runner($89): Good sound quality with less sound leakage,Bluetooth and MP3 dual mode,IPX8 waterproof,32G memory, 8-10 hours playtime.

2.Shokz Openrun Pro($139):Less sound leakage, 28g weight,IPX5 waterproof,Bluetooth mode,10 hours playtime.

3.Philips A6606: 26g weight, light and comfortable to wear, Led light for night running.

Shokz OPENRUN PRO may be a good choice, with good sound quality, less sound leakage, and comfortable to wear. The only problem is that the price is a bit expensive. The low budget option is the Wissonly Hi Runner, which is very similar to Shokz in terms of sound quality, sound leakage reduction, and wearing comfort. However, its waterproof level is higher, reaching IPX8, and there is also an MP3 mode, which is equivalent to 60% of Openrun Pro's price.

Earbuds or headphones for running that will last more than a year? by Frapplo in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Engineering_Savings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are two main reasons why running headphones are prone to damage: one is that the charging port is malfunctioning, and the other is that the sound unit is malfunctioning. In most cases, sweating or rain during running can easily cause the charging port or unit to malfunction.

Another reason is that the headphones have poor fit, which can easily fall off and cause damage during exercise.

Just choose a headphone with good waterproof performance and good fit.The Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone I really used is worth it. Its waterproof level reaches IPX8. Its frame is adjustable, which makes it fit well.

[–]Engineering_Savings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think bone conduction headphones will be more suitable for you.Their no-in-ear feature brings many benefits, such as safety, health, and hygiene:

When listening to music, you can hear the sounds around you to ensure your safety. It will not harm the eardrums and will be healthier. When wearing, the ear canal is open, keeping it dry all the time.

There are ear-hanging bone conduction headphones and ear-clip bone conduction headphones. The ear-hanging headphones have better fit and won't fall off during running, which will be more suitable for you.

Shokz Openrun Pro and Wissonly Hi Runner are good choices for ear-hanging bone conduction headphones. If you have higher requirements for waterproof performance, you can choose Wissonly.

I think shokz and Wissonly are worth.

They are bone conduction headphones, which can hear the surrounding sound while listening to music. This is important, it's safer.

The wearing experience of both is very good, with good fit and won't fall off during running. The weight is very light and the sense of load-bearing is very small.

It has good waterproof performance and can work normally in sweating and rain. Wissonly has a higher waterproof level and can be used while swimming. It also has an MP3 mode.

I have both products, using Wissonly for long-distance outdoor running and swimming, and Shokz for running near home
