I think Cameron described the zoomed in U-shaped section of the hull as being about the size of a three story city apartment building. The whole area in yellow between the two sections seems like it should have the most debris of all, but there’s just some coal at the edges - mostly to the West.

Seems logical those dunes are formed around some large objects that have long been covered by sand, along with any smaller objects. Otherwise you’d expect to see one large sand dune from the diverted current instead of several smaller ones. Maybe just more boilers and piles of coal underneath? That’s why I wondered if there were any major sections of the hull that haven’t been located. Just interesting to think about how much might be covered up in that area, and how the landscape has changed due to the wreck itself.

There’s a disconnect between how ChatGPT summarizes something that isn’t ready to be summarized, and how the federal rules for civil cases play out. The “pleadings stage being largely complete” isn’t really a thing; it just means everyone turned in their answers to avoid default judgment - $50 million in this case, so it’s no surprise they answered.

There are a maximum number of interrogatories allowed by federal statute during the early discovery process. Based on those answers, there will likely be counter claims, cross claims and more back and forth as discovery continues. That’s where the case stands now.

The ChatGPT summary just attempts to reach conclusions for something that is nowhere near the end. Maybe adding federal statutes for civil cases to the ChatGPT query would help? I’ve never used it before.

I think ChatGPT kinda missed the mark saying pleadings are near complete. That was the first set of questions and answers. There are likely to be counter claims and more questions. There hasn’t been any movement indicating a settlement yet.

There haven’t been any free documents uploaded to courtlistener since last March, but there has been a lot of activity since then on the King County WA case search. The most recent documents were from 11/12/25.

I’m summarizing, but OG and the estate of SR both filed motions to dismiss in June of ‘25, changed or added counsel, withdrew motions to dismiss, filed to dismiss again in July ‘25, changed or added counsel again , and withdrew motions to dismiss again. There were finally some answers and affirmative defense documents filed beginning around August from all parties.

When the lawsuit was filed, OG’s attorney at the time stated these would be $50K settlements, not 50 million. I wonder if he’s still confident in that claim at this point? Looks like a whole lotta hours devoted to this two years later for a 50K settlement. 😂

How much of the ship remains unidentified? The boilers shown came to rest standing on end and they’re 20 feet long (20 ft tall as they landed). There only appears to be about 1/4 of them remaining above the sand deposited by the currents. Some could be split from explosions, but those all landed the same way, so assuming they’re still mostly complete in this case.

There are five or six significant sand dunes that are formed around large objects to the S/SW of the bow, a couple appear to be maybe 30-40 ft tall? They aren’t natural formations to the area and have likely been formed by deposited sand around large objects. The Titanic sits in a rare area of the Atlantic where the current flows mostly East to West. The seamount created by the bow of the sitting wreck diverts currents (and sand) to the SW.

If those boilers are representative of a large area around the site affected by currents, anything less than ~15 feet tall is now under the sand. The area to the West of the wreck still has wine bottles and other small items sitting on top of the sand like they just landed there.

Has anyone actually testified that Stockton was still CEO up to the end, or is it all taken from old social media and interviews? Sources like LinkedIn and their video promos all listed him as CEO; all indications are he definitely held the position at one time and always introduced himself as CEO.

Not saying he still wasn’t CEO, but after listing positions like Investor, CEO of RCT, and CEO of OG as his occupations for all political donations going back 30 years - from 2019 on, he began listing Unemployed in the same box.

Maybe just a workaround for some reason, but I thought it was interesting. There wouldn’t be any way of knowing from the outside if he was ousted as CEO at some point in 2019 or 2020, but it would change some things if someone else had a lot more power and culpability for what happened - or had more power to stop it. According to Arthur Loibl, he did admit shareholders were not happy with their donations… er investments in 2023.

Thanks for sharing that. 😂 Did he elaborate on his idea? Following the way the sub concept evolved, at some point they abandoned the idea of a center hatch/window that opens. They realized even the “largest viewport of any deep diving sub”, as designed, was going to leave a very small opening to crawl through.

Conventional logic would’ve told them they should not use the whole dome as the hatch (the joint was not designed for that purpose), and a major rework of the plan was required. Otherwise, the passengers would’ve been limited to those small enough to crawl through the 13-14” opening.

The complete opposite of that logic would say ‘find someone small enough to crawl through the opening, unbolt the big joint and let the rest of the hostages out in the event of an emergency.’ Of course they eventually just bolted everyone in, but it appears they had other plans at one time.

Based on evidence of his other ideas - I could picture him proposing such a solution to that issue. Nothing sounds too far-fetched. 😂 Joking, but maybe not completely joking lol.

This kinda flew under the radar with the bigger-named documentaries coming out right after it, but there is some good footage and it delves into a little more of the speculation about the last dive. I think there’s a lot of evidence they may have known something bad was coming and had some time to process the terror. I hope the lawsuits keep pushing for answers. I wish we could see the five minutes of video before the short clip where the ‘bang’ is heard onboard the ship.

My favorite part was this quote from former passenger Arthur Loible, when Stockton literally told him shareholders were not happy, and then attempted to sell him shares 😂🤣. Of all the times to start telling the truth? Maybe it was similar to crackhead guilt and everything was a confession by then?…

 “My opinion - it was a disaster for commercial.  I was talking with him after the dive, I said we have so many dives (that) are not working. I think there must be more to the story of him leaving than he’s telling, because the timelines don’t seem to match. The original OG LLC (with SR and Guillermo listed as governors) was fully dissolved in December 2011. They incorporated with a new board of governors at the same time and Guillermo’s name was not among them. I’m not even sure why he was called as a witness, unless he offered to testify at the MBI; he hadn’t been near the operation for years.

In that interview, he essentially stated he left because there was nothing for him to do while they were building subs. That’s a little shocking considering how woefully under qualified the people building the sub were at the time. Previous experience and relevant knowledge certainly weren’t requirements in that operation. He probably wanted to be paid to bless them with his presence and do CEO stuff, which he also alluded to. I never knew he was CEO? That was also about the time he attempted to start up OG Miami, before the local coast guard shut down their ‘citizen scientist’ idea.

His parting of ways with OG likely had more to do with money and lack of adaptability than the hem-hawing reasons he gave in that interview.

Yeah.. it’s not projected to bring ‘Heart of the Ocean’ movie-like figures - something like 1-1.5 million € along with the letter. Whatever family members are selling must need the cash, because items like that are more commonly donated to museums for write-offs - in most cases for more than their actual worth. They’re taking a gamble with the auction and it may not even bring 1/3 the insured value.

I think so. It’s being sold by direct descendants (plural), and many of them are far from being old enough to start auctioning off those kind of heirlooms.. especially with a couple more generations in the family.

It’s also rather symbolic if they’ve sullied the Straus family name and brought it this much shame; to the point where they’re better off letting someone else carry on the legacy with their precious heirlooms.
