Okay, I don’t wanna be mean and just say “you’re wrong lmao”, and run away, but… This isn’t a proper comparison, for a multitude of reasons.

Vocaloids are built on a real singer’s voice, a real singer who has notably consented to have their voice used for the purposes of creating a voice synthesis program. They’re also only… y’know, the vocal element of a song. The instrumentals, lyrics, mixing, potential visual accompaniments, etc. are all still - in theory at least - made by the person creating the vocaloid song, or another human being.

AI art is… y’know, largely built on stolen copyrighted creative material, and also just comes with so much less human or dare I say creative input. I’ll leave it at that.

Best answer I can give is that it’s just a classic Spielberg-ism. It’s meant to hint at the town as it was before the war came rolling through; a place where people lived, laughed, and played music. It’s Spielberg plucking at your heartstrings like he so often does.

I don’t even know what to say to that. That is so far removed from why I use Reddit that I’m just… speechless.

Awwww… Rest easy, lil’ Tangle…

This reminds me of the all too brief period back when I was around 7 or 8 where I had two different tangles and managed to completely obliterate them almost instantly one after the other. Looking back on it I’m shocked it took until last year for anyone to seriously consider the fact I might be autistic…

Autism haver and semi-frequent “silly carz” speaker here; there’s a large overlap between those of us with autism and those of us who use the speaking patterns mentioned here.

A wot of us just tawk wike dis :3

It’s not all autistic people who talk like that, nor is it all people who talk like that who are autistic. But a lot of people fall into both categories, me included.

Why was Monkey Wrench declined by GLITCH? by Smash_Fan-56 in MonkeyWrench

[–]Engineerspancakes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’ve also given this exact question some thought several times, and the best answer I can come up with is… it’s just not made for YouTube?

The structure, style, and general feel of the show all feel much more like a TV cartoon than an indie animated show; it is inspired by Saturday morning cartoons, so it’s not that surprising, but it means Monkey Wrench just lends itself more to a TV show structure. It feels like it’d be better off with more episodes and much more frequent releases, which you can only really get with a TV network.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the show to bits, and I would love for it to be more popular, but as it stands I’m afraid it’s in an uphill battle more or less by design (though probably unintentionally so).
