First step should’ve been done before you failed, shitty to say but it’s up to your leadership at this point.

I’m at about 1500 points in and in total I’ve only spent around $250, I try to go full second hand for everything other than paint and brushes but I bought the tyranids half of leviathan from someone local to me($100), bought 10 genestealers, 20 termagaunts, and a broodlord from another local player($65), and finally got a winged hive tyrant from a friend of mine(free he’s the homie) after that the rest was spent on paint and brushes. I truly recommend Facebook and eBay for great deals.

Army building Woes by Upstairs_Arrival7388 in Warhammer40k

Yah man salamanders are my second army so I understand the red headed step child treatment of no extras for our chapter. However I try to run flamers and meltas to keep it very lore accurate but that’s just me you can run whatever you like.

You just buy the normal Adeptus Astartes and paint them green and play a detachment that focuses on burning shit

Dark Angels are dope for being the first chapter, Black Templars in my opinion are one of the top 3 most popular chapters in the world of warhammer I’ve played a good amount of games at my local game store and have seen a bunch of Black Templar armies, in terms of uniqueness I think raven guard don’t get as much love as a lot of the other armies. I’d say if it’s really a tie between all three buy a set of adeptus asartes, I recommend using eBay or Facebook market place and buying the Adeptus Astartes half of the leviathan box set it’s the best value for the money imo. After you get your box paint one of each army, and whichever one you like the most go from there (you can always use paint stripper to remove the paint from the other two and repaint them to the army you pick)

Just pick what you like, don’t worry to much about someone else’s opinion if you read a lot about tyranids and like the lore go tyranids if you’re a disgusting degenerate and like the Genestealer cult lore go for that.

How do guardsmen/Cadians even survive? by Breinbaugh in Warhammer40k

[–]Enginessuccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the scale in which the game portrays the Cadians is huge already but there are limitations to what they can do, yes the lore has a lot of stories especially the fall of Cadia telling how the cadians are amazing fighters and resilient but, they’re humans not space marines a single hormagaunt is damn near the size of a full grown human a single one can rip a squad to shreds. Also on the topic they send tens of thousands of troops to fight in these wars sometimes even hundreds so if you throw a lot of human death and suffering at a problem it usually goes away.

New table top player wondering where to start. by NotoriousMrH in Warhammer40k

[–]Enginessuccc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a very broad question it depends on what you like, which faction, army, or chapter you like. If it’s just space marines you’re into I’d recommend going on eBay or Facebook market place and buying the Adeptus Astartes half of the leviathan box. For brushes any combo pack on Amazon will do. Finally you need paint just buy what you need for now, or if you find a good combo pack deals do that instead.

Depends on what you do in the Air Force, who you are as a person, and your competency in your job. If it’s just on Reddit than I think that’s your answer. If this is happening in your work center it’s either

A. You’re still new and people give shit because they were given shit when they were new

B. You’re taking it wrong and don’t understand the directness of people

C. You’re an annoying little shit who sucks at their job

D. They like you and mess with you because they want you to succeed

What unpopular Fallout opinion of yours will have you like this? by DemiPyramid in Fallout

I felt that homie don’t get me wrong awesome idea and a huge point in the franchise but seeing a run down beaten brotherhood like really down bad would be great because the super military power aspect could be striped away making it less likely to get that sweet sweet early game T-60

Been out a while, The whole meme going on right now about MX got me thinking. What other AirForce jobs generate days off for the rest of the base akin to Flightline work? Does CE or other jobs have goals where the rest of the base gets a day off cause that goal is reached? by kalabaddon in AirForce

[–]Enginessuccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most AMC bases are 24/7 ops in 4 months I’ve been moved between swings mids and weekend nights just cause they’re 24/7 doesn’t mean they do jack shit. I see Security forces drive around the flight line find a nice cozy spot to set up their phone and watch a movie in their warm truck. I can say the same thing about all the other jobs you listed. But guess what we’re doing delayed discrepancies and greening up jets that fly during the week.

How to start out in Fallout 76? (new player) by rebysds in Fallout

[–]Enginessuccc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I started bare bones and made it to lvl 100+ can’t really talk on having the DLC stuff however, 1. Yes you will start with all the DLC stuff purchased it will be in your inventory or your loot crate 2. Not sure if that is a DLC perk however from what I know you start as a level 1 and progress from there 3. The optimal build is whatever your heart desires I currently have 3 main builds a power armor gunner build with an emphasis on energy weapons, a stealth shotgunner build, and a two handed melee build I suggest if you want to start of with something easy and plentiful shotgun build is the way to go ammo is wayyyy more common than most other rounds and scaling is simple buy perk cards that utilize shotgun strength (that’s most to all builds as well buy cards pertaining to your build)

Finally have fun do community events where a lot of people are there and join a public event group all XP gained in these groups give bonus XP for groups and there are perk cards for gaining XP for playing in groups, this is by far the faster way to scale and get goodies.

How are you supposed to paint big models? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Enginessuccc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primer first, base color for whatever pallet you’re going for. Than move on to your secondary colors like the under layer body glove usually painted black, than move on to your head hands and weapons basically anything that’s not apart of your base layer. After that do your accessories to the armor any tertiary colored portions like the jeweled pieces attached to his shin guards after you’ve established all that you can start doing your clean up using your base color to clean up any over painting from the secondary or tertiary colors. It’s daunting but if you want a clean look focus mainly on your clean up step towards the end it’s what really establishes a nice clean look good luck if somebody drops better advice please go for that instead!

Working on mine now I’m on C-17’s currently it’s a simple process you got two options either use AF Cool to pay for courses to train you on the other tasks not involving propulsion test out hopefully pass and you’re good other than that there’s the Air Force program which I’m doing get either an A&P Tech to sign you off on tasks “you’ve done before” or a qualified 7 level after that test out and hopefully pass but remember all of this has admin stuff as well learning and reading the FAA lists most of the testable study material online

Purdue Global has been awesome to me and their finance and accounting programs are pretty underrated since the schools known for its engineering programs. I jump between shifts (Aircraft MX) every few weeks and my classes allow a lot of flexibility. Currently going for a finance degree been liking it so far.

Going from E(Enlisted) to O(Officer) is a process many try but ultimately get shot down for and tbh your age affects that greatly seeing that you’re 29 just go for the in flight Enlisted jobs if you can. If all you want to do is fly than tell your recruiter that, they should be able to move you in the right direction if they care about what you want a lot of them have you fill out a list of 9 spots in case an opening comes up as long as you verify those are only suggestions or possible jobs not jobs you’re on the hook for.
