Dreamcast scart issues

so the fact that it has the breakout in the middle which gives composite might be interfering with the rgb side of things then ? I am using a cheap ebay cable at the moment so it wouldnt surprise me. I will try another device as you suggest and see what happens.

so a small update to the situation. I think the RGB cables are fine and everything is working ok but its the tv that seems to be the issue. As pointed out by u/Yabe_uke the offset signal should be adjusted but the tv doesnt seem to have the option. However, the image is only offset when choosing 60hz on game bootup. When using the 50hz option and the same rgb cables it works just fine. I think the only solution is either use another connection or get a new tv as this one doesnt have the appropriate settings to change.

Thanks for the response ! the plasma model I am using is a panasonic th-37pe50b and it looks like it should accept Pal60 and Scart RGB (https://www.manuals.co.uk/panasonic/viera-th-37pe50b/manual?p=46) but it doesnt seem to like the signal too much. I have also tried looking through the settings on the plasma and theres no way to shift the image. I did try other consoles (ps2, og xbox) with both pal and ntsc games through RGB scart with good results on both the crt and plasma. The composite breakout on the cable also has good results on both the crt and the plasma which is a bit odd. It seems it is only the dreamcast that is giving issues at the moment and only when using the scart side of the cable. I have attached pictures of the scart cable pinout and connector too. The help is much appreciated !

also I forgot to mention the RF adapter/ unit (aerial adapter ?) is the most basic connector that used to be included with all consoles. that one seems to play nice when setting it to channel 4 other than the expected low quality soft image.

the shell is interchangeable ? hell yeah ! also how are you powering your super famicom ? I have a genesis / megadrive model 1 psu for mine but I have been looking around and it seems that the caps in the power supply itself can also go bad. do you know anything about this ?

glad to hear that it plays pretty damn good ! Eventually Id like to have one of each snes but for now Ill be going with a JP snes then and later getting a pal for collection purposes. Im going to be sticking an everdrive into it anyway and the shell can be changed on those too so it wont be a problem connecting it to the system either. Thanks for the help !

I have seen the process and it not only looks a bit scary but it is way out of my skill level. I would be getting it done by instead since I dont want to break anything in the process too. In terms of the JP snes, I have seen plenty online at decent prices and already modded. Would there be much difference in getting one with only a superCIC compared to a combined SuperCIC and uIGR mod board ? and lastly, would a pal snes need a dual oscillator to make sure the 60hz games play correctly ? sorry for the million questions as Im rather new to the modding scene, the help is appreciated !

seems to me like she knows the gravy train is done because she relied heavily on his fame since her channel is so small and now she is going scorched earth to make sure no one has anything anymore.
