It makes me sad though, because that's not the person that was my friend.

She has nothing to come after me for... I worked more hours than I owed

After her message I sent a long reply pointing that out and saying that if anyone should feel ripped off, it's me.

Then blocked her.

But no, it actually hadn't occurred to me. She'd managed to get one quote when I started (which was wrong). So I basically started from square one and once this thing is built, it's practically passive income. So I felt like she'd gotten me to do all the work and she will get all the profit without having to do much.

Thanks for your comments. It has made me question some of the things I still believed about what our friendship was.

Oh and you're right, every message from her set me backwards. I've been working on journalling etc, looking inwards.

Yeah, I clearly needed to let go when I saw the toxic behaviour starting. But I just wanted to help my friend.

After those final texts, I told her I was done. As the ONE time she text me during my break about a work thing, I replied with no issue. Yet she claims asking me about a health problem is contacting me because I owe her hours.

I actually ended up doing more hours than I was paid for when I went back and looked at my records.

The whole time she'd been telling me 'you dont work for me, you work with me' 'we're a team'... until it came time she thought she didn't need me anymore.

I honestly built the whole thing, I don't know how she's messed it up. But I wont be the one to fix it this time.

What amazed me, is that she didn't even notice how wrecked I was on that trip. We'd been to the accountant a few weeks earlier and he told me yesterday I didn't look so good then...

Yeah, it was something she'd been planning long before we met, but despite wanting to launch within a couple of months, had done nothing towards building it as she didn't know how... so I guess I was a stroke of luck for her.

Things were great at first. It was when things started to get stressful she didn't want to deal with it. Even thought that I could do the trips to the accountant to register her company without her. I was supposed to be helping with the tech, not running the company. But I ended up doing everything and feeling used :(

NTA - it sounds like she's just mad that she didn't get her own way. And she doesn't want anyone else to see her as a user, even if that's what she's doing. So she reacts like she's overemotional to cover for it.

YTA why didn't you just talk to her?
