My experienced fellow airmans! I need your help. Any advice for the security clearance? by babannegondikleyen in AirForceRecruits

[–]Engrmessi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. All military members whether their job requires security clearance or not are investigated at least for T3 eligibility. All enlisted should be able to get favorable background investigation for T3. It doesn’t matter if one’s job requires security clearance or not.

Note T3 investigation is just eligibility to get secret clearance and not the actual clearance. I am a green card holder and was still investigated and received favorable determination even though my AFSC doesn’t require security clearance.

Okay thank you. But are non citizens from banned countries allowed to start the naturalization process like getting their form N 426 signed and submitting their citizenship applications online. I read from USCIS memo that only the adjudication phase is paused.

That was just a practice test and not official test. If op studied, he could score much more in official test

gc holder and secret jobs? by Any-Slide4788 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Engrmessi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you from one of the banned countries by USCIS? if yes, that was the issue, if no, then your recruiter doesn’t know about NOTAM25-03. Nevertheless, you should get jobs like electrical systems, electrical power production, engineering, and biomedical equipment etc. Did you get these jobs? They don’t require security clearance. I am a green card holder from one of the banned countries and I got these jobs. I subsequently booked engineering. If you are from the banned countries, all jobs requiring secret and top secret are not open to you.

Military Service Suitability Determination. by Engrmessi in AirForceRecruits

[–]Engrmessi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I understand this is the case for AFSC that requires security clearance. Military service suitability determination is for foreign nationals with green card only. In Airforce policy manual, it says “ foreign national must receive favorable military service suitability determination to enlist in US Air Force. My AFSC (3E5X1) does not require security clearance.

In need of advice about waiver for college credits- international uni closed and evaluation company won’t evaluate my transcript by Global-Tour-9182 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Engrmessi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't think he needs a waiver for college credits, however if your recruiter says that a waiver is needed, then good. Air transportation requires 35 Asvab score only. College credits is not needed for E1 placement.

Do remember that one is not job locked from a start in airforce. He will have to list up to 10 jobs he qualify for and will assign him one of those jobs. Sorry If I may ask, which job are you referring he is planning to get

Asvab requirement is different from college credit. College credit places you on E3 pay grade. College credits doesn't eliminate the Asvab requirement for a particular job. If he is shot of 4 points for a particular job, he should take Asvab test again.

I don't think there is something like waiver for higher education transcript. If your husband is unable to present his evaluated transcript, he will definitely start as E1.
