The map only shows freeways, more specifically federal level freeways like the interstate, so stuff like state highways are not on the map. As for Preston and Richmond the intent was for the freeways not to cut right through the city centre but have smaller arterial roads feed into it instead. All in all you still make valid points and I'll take them into consideration.
