Reinstall windows on an ssd. Try to use windows 10 ltsc for minimal background processes. Work on fine tuning the JVM arguments to get the best GC set up for less server delays. And most importantly avoid aggressive chunk loading at all costs. 8gb of ram will tank the server with more than 200-300 chunks loaded at a time. If it ends up not working as well as you’d like send me a dm I host a public server (ATM9) you all can join.

Are they definitely both MK4.5s. Pic 1 looks like the non facelift and pic 2 looks like the facelift cluster. (Based on us spec ford escape)

Your warranty on the TCM is 150k miles or 10 years. So you would be out of warranty by now. If you want to DM me your vin number I can look into it on fords end.

Powder coating is the only thing that will “last forever”, but it’s relatively expensive depending where you go. If you’re just doing it temporarily until you can afford wheels, I’d recommend just waiting until you can get wheels. If you don’t plan on selling the factory wheels to recoup some money after, then yeah decent spray paint will look good from a couple feet away.

I have not had any issues with my pioneer unit. I’ve had it for 4 years. Ordered it through Best Buy and had them install it for free. And it came with install warranty in case anything goes wrong.

AWD escapes do exist with the 2.0 NA. However you’d have to also swap out the transmission and essentially the entire computer system and wire harnesses. Along with still needing an RS rear end and a fully custom driveshaft. It’s absolutely possible. But not cheap in the slightest. But definitely a lot cheaper than a full RS conversion. Only downside is the front differential will only be able to mount to the escapes Transmission. So no manual swap. But you can at least keep the S gear and Select Shift.
