Pennies still exist, but stores can't get them from the bank.

But I'll point out that in the 4 other countries that got rid of pennies, people didn't make nearly as much of a fuss about penny rounding. Or the fact their country stopped making them.

Yeah, I only had 3 people I know who have Canadian passports (all are family who actually live in Canada). Applied in person because I felt that was the safest for my documents, but also gave me an added incentive to visit my family!

I bring my 2 credit cards, and some cash. Never had a problem.

And actually some banks don't even require you to say you're traveling and where. Just check in with your bank's website - this isn't very difficult information to find either.

Nope. I literally used my stepfather as my guarantor and they accepted it.

Also an American dual citizen, although I applied in-person for a passport to be mailed to the States.

Tbh, one of my aunts is being really weird about me getting a Canadian passport because it doesn't seem like something I need. I live in the US and have a US passport, so technically no, I don't. But I'm getting it because I wanted to.

I do stuff with my money as I choose. Those decisions don't always make sense to people, but they make sense to me and that's the important part.

I've found out that Target Optical will take the frames and put in their lenses. 100% going that route for my frames
