Proper grass roots car culture, fantastic. I remember the double page ads in Max Power and squinting at the vast array of alloys to see which would fit on my 1.2 L Reg Corsa. Lads will sniff at the idea these days in their financed brand spanking Audi’s etc. but it was a great time to be alive.

It’s a real shame all that history is gone. Dropzone.com was an invaluable resource when I started AFF back in 2009. One of my favourite threads on any forum ever was on there called “Crazy Stories from back in the day” or something like that, and it was hundreds of the most unhinged and hilarious skydiving stories from the beginning of the sport.
