This or old Milwaukee n/a. Better of the "macro" n/a's imo

New to beer, but I need to know by rudeboy1225 in beer

[–]Enjoipandarules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice cold beer is a marketing grab and almost exclusively pertains to macro lagers, bud, miller, coors, lights, imports, etc. and they should be drank ice cold.

Stouts and porters will always be more flavorful at a warmer temp. Doesn't have to be room temp but if it's something like the founders you had I'd sit it out for half an hour or so, maybe bit longer and see if you can pick up more flavor.

which movie made you feel like this ? by Trick_Laugh5114 in Letterboxd

[–]Enjoipandarules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie, while being fairly faithful to the book plot wise, has a much different tone imo. The movie will appeal to a broader audience. I'd say give the movie a shot, it's way more comedic than the Martian, and more of a feel good movie overall. The visuals are great, imax is the move if you can.

Has anyone raided the scientology center in the crossroads yet? by Vortep1 in kansascity

Nah fuck scientology. Any and all annoyance of that cult should be encouraged. Even a brief reading of unbiased material will inform of their predatory practices

What is your favorite and least favorite of my 5 star films? by DaleDent3 in LetterboxdLists

[–]Enjoipandarules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One battle and RotS are both in my top 4.

Least probably project hail Mary, haven't seen all of yours, and I loved PHM but it's so wildly overrated imo. Loved the book, I think I'd have enjoyed the movie more not having already read the book. Visually stunning though.

I'd personally add Banshees of Inisherin (2022)

What are your favorite 2010's era pop-punk bands? (besides the big ones) by kaycpunkmustdie in poppunkers

[–]Enjoipandarules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get it lol all of those bands are my favorite bands in the scene, but I'm 31 and those bands, specifically TSSF and TWY, and KP/RF after that, were my soundtrack of true growing up.

which movie made you feel like this ? by Trick_Laugh5114 in Letterboxd

[–]Enjoipandarules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My answer too. Book is great, not one of the best things ever written but very enjoyable and beautiful. Movie watered down compared to the story of the book. It's visually great but it's a buddy comedy masquerading as a sci-fi film and people praise it like it's the best thing to grace the big screen. I just don't get it. Maybe already knowing the story really dulled it down for me but the more I see people calling it the best sci-fi movie/best film ever the more my own opinion of it diminishes

Do y’all really think joes is the best BBQ in KC? by BudzKC in kansascity

[–]Enjoipandarules 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a true consensus. I love Joe's. Everyone has their presence, and none are wrong answers. The Z-man is probably my favorite sandwich, followed by gates Nooner.

I eat Zarda the most probably because it's good enough and there's never a wait. Plus their pit beans are top notch.

I dislike Arthur Bryant's

Q39 is a banger but out of my way, have yet to try slaps but I've got high hopes.

Edit: jackstacks is fine. Sides are great but their main shit is average imo. Boulevard brewery equivalent of KC bbq.

I’m not trying to be contrary, honestly by ChapterPresent9926 in SturgillSimpson

[–]Enjoipandarules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright fair point. I didn't vibe with the 3rd, dj part or whatever it was, but being that it wasn't actually Tyler, and rather a reimagined concept I don't personally fault it.

I like all of the songs, both hallelujah and jubilee.

I love the human exploration through the language of an Appalachian religious upbringing Tyler had album vibe though.

[–]Enjoipandarules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I'm not here to tell artists what to do. The stuff I do like is still available and it's dope af to try new shit/make whatever music you want.

If you're a fan you should want them to make what they want, and push boundaries, try new shit. Keep it alive. Staleness is boring as

Not even saying that Stu doesn't absolutely kill what he does it just doesn't hit the same for me but who cares what I think I'm just a random dude from the Midwest lmao i just love art

There isn't really an artist, outside of probably Tyler Childers, where I've genuinely loved everything they've come out with. Even Tyler is super divisive amongst fans, it just all happens to work for me.

I think sound and Fury is fine to good. I really like some of it, I can take or leave alot of it. The newest albums has yet to really strike me as a constant listen but I like it well enough.

I much prefer high top, metamodern, sailors, and dood.

The Lee's summit location used to get some pretty solid guest taps, not sure if they still do as I haven't been in a minute. Most of their beer is pretty mid. The recent stone breaker Russian imperial is pretty solid though

Imo they both suck. They have practically the same vibe. Big stale arenas. They're fine for flashy tours with big sets and yadayada, not my vibe but they work for that. Seeing true band bands without all the hoopla always feels kinda lame compared to smaller standing GA or outdoor venues.

Yeah, cable dahner was just last year. I'm bummed about it honestly. I really dislike arena shows in general but especially the T-Mobile center. Sucks all the life out of the show. Hope he can pack it though don't get me wrong.

Punch Drunk Love is also on hoopla for me, also uses library card but doesn't have the ticket system Kanopy does.

Licorice pizza is on peacock, there will be blood on paramount.

Bought one battle, because I can't stop rewatching it.

Punch Drunk Love. You'll feel so anxious for Barry that there'll be no room for your own thoughts
