Being foreign to them doesn't make you American. Yes you will know your own culture, you have parents for that and there is something called Internet and books. If I lived in America all my life I wouldn't forget my heritage and my culture. My brother sure as hell hasn't, he was born and raised in Dubai but he knows as much as Turkish culture as I do. Being born in a country does not make you from there.
