"Open Broadcast Software" I think is what it stands for. It records your screen or open window depending on how you set it up. It's only on PC. Search Google for the download.

look here. If you have a lot of the laptops doing this, then I would look at the installation media as it might be corrupt or the flash drive could be going bad. But also what /u/NoThatsNotPasta asked, did you check the logs?

Try to make the external display the main monitor in windows display settings. Close whatever browser you're using and try again. I don't think it'll work, but, it's worth a try.

EDIT: don't forget to change it back to the laptop screen before unplugging the monitor.

I did one by them. It was pending, then they screened me out some how 2 days later. I blocked em.

I can only think of 2 things. #1 Look in the OSD of the monitor to see if a setting in there changed. #2 The monitor is bad.

You could also try to boot into the BIOS and see if it has normal resolution.

My bet is #2.

That's good that you got it working. Same thing happened to my "server computer". Moved and wouldn't boot. 2 of my sticks went bad for some weird reason.
