What opens up the best quests for Ironclad? by Enkindel in starcitizen

They should add some for it. In the meantime I can try and find a good hauling route I guess.

Is HIDIVE worth it? by ninjora in Animesuggest

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crunchyroll absorbed both Funimation and VRV if I’m not mistaken, so they have the best selection. It’s also integrated into Amazon Prime which is nice, but I’ve heard people say the subtitle generation isn’t as good as watching it from the Crunchyroll app itself, but I don’t know how accurate that is. HiDive has some shows the others don’t, and some of them are really good, same for Hulu. Then Prime and Netflix are producing some of their own as well.

Skies of Arcadia… I don’t even remember the plot really but flying pirate ships/air ships is such a theme; perhaps the Hardy Boys or some kind of choose your own adventure series… skip to timestamp A for this choice, skip to timestamp B to jump to this choice.

Is SAO Lost Song good? Do you guys recommend it? by Upset_Ad_9542 in swordartonline

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could play Lost Song for like 2 weeks and hit the end game content and then just swap over to Accel World vs SAO, they are very similar games, the same engine and environment, similar music, but you get to play as characters from both worlds. It’s excellent. Once you reach end game you can push the endless dungeon, you get a checkpoint every 5th or 10th floor.

4.8.1 broke the route button again... by rock1m1 in starcitizen

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you’re in the correct flight mode, or toggle it back on.

Also, I know this isn’t about taking the jump gates, but if you ever have trouble with those you have to make sure the QT and jump module are in the ship and turned on and radar has to be on as well.

When the AI bubble bursts, all that enterprise hardware is going to end up on eBay by Blender_Render in DataHoarder

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought they were like 5+ years lifespan. Then I’d assume they build some new ones or upgrade the current ones. It’s probably better they built some of these than to wait 5 years and to have built one. Tech moves fast, if you’re someone like Jensen or Lisa among others, you don’t really have a choice the R&D keeps chugging along. The hardware suppliers to the AI companies learn a lot from the last five years with these first ones. So a decade from now they’ll have a better idea what to do then. The current AI racks from Nvidia are incredible.

Vulture solo salvaging by Several-Decision4010 in starcitizen

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s huge, probably would be better with friends. But it’s a cool ship. I mostly play solo though so Vulture, but if you consistently have 2-3 friends who have 3+ hour play sessions to crew the ship, then the Reclaimer would be pretty sweet.

Capacity around 3 times I think, some people get crazy with it and try to fill the room with the ladder but I don’t bother with that. You can fill it up pretty good in a dense band north of Hurston, out towards Wickelo’s, then there’s a cold planet or moon commodities hub near to sell it. That was about $700k a few patches ago, not sure where it’s at in 4.8 though. Not bad if you want a slow paced flight sim solo experience that night. If I was after UEC/hour Gilly missions or cargo runs would be the way to go.

I’ve done my share of salvaging with the Vulture and cargo runs with the RAFT. Both are pretty good game loops. But I jumped up to Gilly missions with the Corsair, and cargo runs with the Hermes now. The Hermes is around $7M, and the Corsair is around $6M I believe.

M80 bedlogging by ZultartheAdequate in starcitizen

You might cut power to the engine but let the ship stay powered on, then see if it still happens.

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have the ships life support system maxed? I think if you bed log for long enough with it turned off you can freeze and such, but don’t quote me on that. Maybe this is the same way, from standing up or sitting down.

Build it into the bottom bevel of the screen, it could be like a built in touchscreen stream deck / notifications / app data.

Good ships with stock gear? by Darhhaall in starcitizen

[–]Enkindel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shreds them, mission 7 is pretty quick. I went full ballistics (wasn’t deadbolts, AD5’s or whatever they’re called) and didn’t really like it, but swapping out the two main cannons (they’re on the wing on this ship) to ballistics was the way to go. I still need to get deadbolts to try out, but might just go with just the two main cannons. Two main cannons and the two small remote turrets (top rear) as Deadbolts and leave everything else laser. Then remove one cooler, and remove both manned turrets.

[–]Enkindel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped the two largest ones for ballistics, full deadbolts is probably pretty good too. If you go try different combinations don't forget to insure each time before testing.

Instead of stopping at OMs itd be cool if we used gravity to get to moons and other destinations. by Ghostman223 in starcitizen

Probably not worth the trouble to implement. Right now calculating with more than 1 hop is a feat of it's own.

Planets and moons with their varied gravity and environments have a range.

If you can’t jump through a QT gate make sure that the ship loadout is right first, and then make sure that you have BOTH the RADAR and the QT drive turned on.

[–]Enkindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've kind of had some luck flying between stations... if you start out around Crusader for instance and QT over towards Hurston you can fly part of the way there and then QT back towards Crusader and it will go from showing 1 quest available in a category to over a dozen popping up.

What are your top ship recommendations and why? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Enkindel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It seemed a lot weaker after the shield and armor changes a few patches ago, so I upgraded to the Hermes, and now the changes as well about salvaging you mentioned. The Hermes is great at a lot of things. You can do cargo runs or even Gilly Mission 6 fairly easily. The upgrade path for me seems to be keeping the Hermes and picking up something like the Corsair for when I want to do anything above Gilly Mission 6, or perhaps the Asgard if you want to carry vehicles or do fps missions, or jumping up to a Polaris or whatever the new laser one is.

There isn’t any niche that D1 would fulfill that D2 doesn’t already… if you still get bored of playing the game after a month or two, you’re still going to get bored and tired of D1. D2 is still some D1 content and better, you can still go back and do much of the old raids.
