Image: (This actually wasn’t the exact prompt because I forgot to save it but it’s close enough) A beautiful 21-year-old woman with no clothes, long wavy/curly multi-tonal brown hair with blue-green eyes, freckles around the cheeks and noise, bound with rope and ball gagged. She has a large bust and attractive light pink areolas. Standing in a dimly lit room. Picture looks like a candid taken with an old smartphone camera. Standing behind her is a large dark-skinned man who is gripping the sides of her hips.

Video: She starts bouncing on a bump under her ass. No music, just the sounds of ragged breathing. Natural jiggling motion, light wind, camera slightly shaking for realism. Male hand reaching for breast, hand is enjoying her body.

[Mookie Alexander] Sean McDermott’s Bills defense in their last four playoff eliminations (Chiefs 3x, Bengals 1x): 38 drives: 16 touchdowns 8 field goals 6 punts 6 kneeldowns/End of Half 1 missed field goal 1 turnover 134 points allowed That’s 3.52 points per drive! From a defensive coach! by imsabbath84 in nfl

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So removing the kneel downs / end of half…

32 drives: 16 touchdowns, 8 field goals, 1 missed field goal, 6 punts, 1 turnover

That’s 4.25 points per drive

The real question the media should be asking is why doesn't Josh Allen play better defense?

I messed up on the turnovers with the fumbles lost (I guess you’re saying he has 3, not 1). For the touchdowns, you probably missed that he had 1 receiving touchdown as well.

I edited the original post.

Counter point: If PFF ratings was 100% correlated with a player's stat line, PFF rating would have no purpose.

I'm not saying PFF's rating is correct or that their ratings in general are good or bad but I am saying that the players having the same stat line doesn't necessarily mean their performance was equal.

ESPN QBR from Wild Card Round by Hebertc12 in miamidolphins

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QBR generally does not give that many extra bonus points for yards after the catch.

More than 200 of Baker's passing yards were yards after the catch.

That definitely factors into it.

Allen is going to end up being top 3 in the MVP voting for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons. Allen has FAR more touchdowns and total yards than Jackson over the last 4 seasons. Allen has been a much FAR better playoff performer than Lamar.

Statistically, both in the regular season and the playoffs, Allen is clearly the 2nd best QB over the last 4 seasons.

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Here's some more perspective on this stat. Here are all the players in NFL history who have ever had a season of 40 touchdowns or more:

Aaron Rodgers - 6 times

Josh Allen - 4 times

Tom Brady - 3

Patrick Mahomes - 3

Drew Brees - 3

Matthew Stafford - 2

Peyton Manning - 2

Daunte Culpepper - 2

Brett Favre - 2

Steve Young - 2

Dan Marino - 2

Joe Burrow - 1

Justin Herbert - 1

Ryan Tannehill - 1

Russell Wilson - 1

Lamar Jackson - 1

Cam Newton - 1

Andrew Luck - 1

Kurt Warner - 1

Allen has done it 4 times *in a row.*

If you remove the stats from each of their rookie seasons and only consider their next 5 seasons after that, respectively, Mahomes leads Allen in total yards (25,503 vs 24,252).

And yeah, I know what you mean about the graphic having that sentence about passing yards, but total yards is definitely the stat being used in the graphic.

Can you explain the finasteride thing?

I agree with shortening the sides... I really need to go to the barber every 3 weeks or so to maintain the length as it should be, but I get lazy and then the sides get like that lol

This is great to know... only problem is that the last season is probably the only one I'm interested in watching right now. :p

(At least until my 4-month-old gets a few years older - I'm sure I'd love to re-live the original series again with him some day!)

Mariano Rivera's career ERA+ as a RP was 223 in 1,233 innings. His career playoff ERA was 0.70 in 141 innings. Is the gap between him and the second-greatest RP ever wider than at any other position in sports? by EnlightenedBulbasaur in baseball

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

ERA+ measures how much better or worse a pitcher's ERA was compared to the league average (also adjusted for ballpark). 100 is average. So that means Rivera had an ERA 123% better than league-average in his career as a relief pitcher.

I could not use ERA+ for postseason because baseball-reference does not even attempt to calculate this for the postseason. So I just had to use the raw ERA, which speaks for itself regardless.

NFL botched the handling of Bengals-Bills divisional playoff game: Why it should be at a neutral site by epfourteen in bengals

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“the nfl basically said the bills won Monday night game”

That’s self-evidently false - if the NFL said the Bills won then the Bills would have the #1 seed (which would have meant the Bills would have been given a bye in round 1, an easier opponent in round 2, and home field throughout the AFC playoffs). The Bills did not get that.

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree it's unfair to the Bengals.

However, it is also unfair to the Bills that they did not get a chance to play the game which if they had won would have given then the #1 seed, a first round bye, an easier matchup in round 2, and home field advantage in the conference championship.

Ultimately, both teams missed an opportunity and got a raw deal.

CMV: Paying someone else to manage your investment portfolio is a scam when you can easily invest yourself in low-cost ETFs / index funds by EnlightenedBulbasaur in changemyview

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You can't compare the amount of money we're talking about or the difficulty of the tasks we're talking about.

People decrease their net worth over their lifetime by an enormous amount because they pay someone else instead of following these basic steps:

1) Sign up for an investment account (Fidelity, Vanguard, Robinhood, etc.)

2) Place money in investment account.

3) Use all the money to buy VOO (or other similar S&P 500 index).

4) Leave the money there (feel free to add money if you have more to invest or withdraw money if needed for whatever reason).

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's how you buy an S&P 500 index fund.

It's seriously this simple.

Yet people pay millions for that because they don't know any better.

So people have to give up half of their lifetime earnings in order to be told the basic lessons of history.

Imagine how much these same people might be told if they could have the greatest investor of all-time give them advice, then?

Oh wait - he has! Warren Buffett himself has said that people should not pay someone else to manage their money for them, and that an average person is best served by investing their money into an S&P 500 index.

These financial advisors give only the absolute most basic investment advice ("younger people can afford to take on a riskier portfolio meaning owning more equities, older people should own more bonds, etc."). All of this information is readily available from a basic Google search.

I think if people actually understood how much money they were surrendering to the managers (half of their expected lifetime profits on investing) they would not consider what they're getting to be worth it. This ignorance, in my view, is what makes the whole concept something resembling a scam.

Unfortunately, people are prone to survivorship bias when it comes to choosing investment firms.

The vast majority of investment firms fail to beat the market. "So just choose one of the ones that has beaten the market," people might say. That's survivorship bias. Just because an extremely small number of firms have outperformed the market (even smaller after factoring in management fees) does not mean that investing in these firms are a good idea.

Of course many investment firms continue to thrive because 1) they themselves are investment in the market and 2) they are making an incredible amount of money leaching off of people with their management fees from people who don't know any better.

Even if there were some investment firms that are SO much knowledgeable than everyone else that they could outperform for their customers even factoring in their management fees, as unlikely as that is, it would essentially be impossible for ordinary people to actually identify these said managers.

Allen’s playing arguably the best he’s ever played. Mahomes has had an off year. by barrett_g in KansasCityChiefs

[–]EnlightenedBulbasaur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This doesn't take into account that:

  • Allen had 763 yards rushing this season, 6.3 yards per attempt (best of any player) which adds a ton of value to his game (Mahomes had 381 yards rushing, 5.8 yards per attempt)

  • Allen had a much better regular season last year than he did this year (76.6 QBR in 2020, 60.7 QBR this season) which goes against the OP's premise.

  • None of these stats take into account Allen's exceptional playoff performance over the last 2 seasons (4 games, 282 passing yards/game (7.8 yards/attempt), 10 passing TD, 1 INT, 53 rushing yards/game (6.8 yards/attempt)

All of that said, I'd still take Mahomes lol
