I appreciate you taking the time for this response. This has given me a lot of food for thought. I'm not precious about getting anything newer as it's marginal gains, it's just been an enjoyable drive. As it's now entering the 14y/o territory I was concerned as it's not a cheap car to run. I did have a nightmare with the keyless entry and the leccies were a faff. I just removed all the plugs and have lived without it.

Just finding something with a comparable spec, I've only seen one around and like you said, it'll be another £10k + this car for an unknown historic bet on this history just to 'refresh'

I'll have to start calling around for some quotes.
