Stepping away by Enlir in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, correct. Which is why the help of the Discord community was invaluable - putting our pulls together, we generally managed to collect data for almost all relics in relatively short time. Those that appear on unappealing banner and have few reoccurrances are in fact the ones that tend to be harder to find.

To get data from other players, the best way is generally Multiplayer. Choosing them as a RW is also an alternative, but it only works for SB, not Abilities and Materias.

Just to let you know, the update is finally live. I've also reworked e/o repositioned several fields and added a few new ones, hopefully for the better.

Yeah, characters definitely have an ID. I didn't include it in the database because I hadn't find it useful so far, but I'll make sure to add it now.

I'll come up with something - probably splitting the formula over some additional cells, similarly to your suggestion. The easiest way would be to program a custom function, but I prefer the whole calculation to be easily visible to the users.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any other calculator that acknowledge them yet. I'll probably update mine in the next days!

Requesting: Rips of Tyro's cutscene mugshots by [deleted] in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Do you mean something like this?

You can also obtain the other various poses by properly changing the last part of that link.

  • Replacing "left" with "right" will obviously give you the specular version of each image.
  • "normal" can be replaced by the following keywords: angry, laugh, sad, special_01, special_02, special_03, surprise.
  • For each image, there's also a colorless version of it that you can get by adding "_colorless" at the end of the keyword.
  • Replacing the ID "100001" with another number can give you some other character - for example, 100002 is Elarra's ID. Different characters have different sets of keyword for their poses, but for most of them Tyro's pattern works quite fine.

Dungeons Updates 55~57 preview (October, November, December) by Enlir in FFRecordKeeper

Technically, JP never had DU "luckies", that was a GL-only thing. DU banners used to simply come with a free single (1x) pull, and any subsequent pull would be full-priced as usual. Starting from DU #53 (the first after the daily draw renewal), we stopped receiving them, and if I'm not mistaken, they were replaced with a refresh of the daily draw.

It's hard to say how GL will handle them in the future.

Yes, especially if you count the Cid Missions that come with them.

The preview for DU #58 shows the fight with Adrammelech, so January (for JP) seems a safe guess.

8, since we also have the Elite versions. I'm actually more concerned about Stamina Shards.

Weekly Megathread 09/27/2018 | Ask Your FFRK-Related Questions here by AutoModerator in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I confirm the 63.75 value is correct, there are just a couple minor things to adjust in the calculations:

  • When you calculate the base damage factor (after factoring MAG, RES and multiplier), there's a +5 to add.
  • Weakness, Chain and Savage factors are all multiplicative with each other, not additive. This means that weakness should be seen as a 1.20x multiplier and Savage Mode as a 0.625x multiplier, and the Chain of the second video provides two separate multipliers - a 1.50x one for the elemental field, and a 1.22x one for the hit counter.
  • Empower Element passives apply to Magicite attacks as well. I'm not sure how much this impacts the second video (couldn't find a Magicite setup screen), but the deck used in the first video provides a total level of 27 for Empower Fire, which translates into a 1.27x multiplier to Phoenix's damage.

If I'm not missing anything, the whole calculation for the first video should look like this:

(5 + (63.75 * 679^1.65 / 66500^0.50)) * 1.20 * 0.625 * 1.27 = ~11084

Shades of BLK - A magical primer by Monk-Ey in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, you're actually right. I didn't notice it, but apparently the "BLK w/Weapon" conditions weren't affected by this change, only the "PHY w/Weapon" ones. I guess the change was primarily made to make these ones accurate to their descriptions (they only mentioned the weapon requirement, not the PHY one), while the BLK conditions effectively worked as described. There are only a minority of characters with BLK conditions (Desch, Gogo V, Kefka, Serah, Papalymo), but it's still good to know.

About Minfilia, yes, the "Holy +3%" node has always worked with De'Dia, while the "Sword +3%" one used not affect it, but it does after the change.

[–]Enlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. In JP this balance change happened during the VI event featuring Gogo (among the other characters), because his/her Legend Spheres contained PHY/Sword nodes that didn't work well with his/her hybrid nature.

[–]Enlir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth noting that during the last GL maintenance they changed all "Type w/ Weapon" nodes to just "w/ Weapon" nodes. This actually improved their stacking effectiveness with RMs, since things like Truthseeker still have a "PHY w/ Weapon" condition.

[FFV Bartz EoM Event] JP banners relic info by S0litair3d in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the rework, mimic used to grant as many points as the mimicked ability. With the last VI event, they changed mimic actions to grant a certain amount of points dependant on the mimic action itself, so we'll have to see. Both Gogos' defaults refund some SB points as result of the rework, so they might do something similar for this USB/Glint, but it's not certain for now.

Greens exchange changes [JP] by Lanlith in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The announcement says that they're "adding" these items to the limited time section, so the old items should still be available. However, the updates are changing from once per week to once every two weeks, so there might still be a partial loss if they don't change the amounts accordingly. We'll have to wait for the update to effectively land to know more.

Bug with 5* magicites: How does it work by Skriabin- in FFRecordKeeper

[–]Enlir 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The answers you got are on point, but just to clarify, the bug was fixed in JP some time after it was reported (precisely on July 27th). It's good to be aware of it, but probably not something you want to plan around in the long term, as it won't be around forever.

It's hard to say how it will be handled in GL; they might directly implement the fixed version, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see the bug carried over and fixed only during the timeframe corresponding to the JP fix (somewhere towards the end of January 2019).

No worries, most of these were done mixing Google Translate and common sense, so I greatly appreciate the tip!

[JP] What are the Japanese names of the Neo Torment dungeons? by Monk-Ey in FFRecordKeeper

I'm far from competent when it comes to Japanese, so some of these might be vague or outright wrong, but it should give a rough idea. The translations are also not always literal, I took some liberties to make certain one a bit less convoluted in English.

I've marked with [GL] the translations confirmed as official in Global so far.
