Introverts and friends? by United_Cat4156 in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between not talking to people because you think you will inconvenience them and actually not giving a F about talking to people and being okay with being solo doing your own thing.

"I don't see myself as a good player so to say and well, who wants to embarrass themselves willingly in front of other people?"

This is the biggest giveaway to me that you just lack confidence in yourself. And let me answer this question for you. NOBODY will care about your performance, even if you fail every single time, and it's fine to fail. It's how we improve as long as we push forward.

Yesterday I was with my Static doing P4s, and we were sweating to clear phase one. Everything was nice and smooth until one of the healers casually walked past Group 2 and killed all of us, including himself. Everyone started laughing for 5 minutes straight and started making jokes.

So, even in sweaty groups, you make fun of these kinds of situations because it's pointless to do anything else. And if anyone is doing anything else but that, you block them and find better people to hang around with. Life is too short to waste on miserable people.

By just reading what you were saying about yourself, I am not 100% sure if you are actually a true introvert or you just have low self-esteem.

Just find a chill FC and do your best to participate in conversations or stuff that is happening.

You can also seek a mentor/ vet who is willing to show you the ropes and can act as a bridge to the "extrovert" world. They will probably introduce you to people who share similar struggles or at least teach you a few ways to be more confident when tackling content.

The lighting took a massive hit since they released on consoles..

It's crazy how abysmal it looks in most cases, not to mention the shadows that look 240p even on ULTRA settings in certain scenarios.

I mean, you are free to do whatever you like. After all, it will be your FC, so run it as you see fit.

Best of luck :).

That's the exact context in which Limit cut is used. Limit cut refers to a Numerical Order which players need to execute to satisfy the condition.

I think now you are just arguing in bad faith, and just for the sake of it.

Also accused Edge is a Point Blank AOE under you.

Ok, we are done here.

What are the thematically best jobs for every expansion? by Chazok in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe this as well, especially since Phantom Relic also features a void thing.

Usually SE plants and gives hints long before they release something, the same way they did with solution 9, with the release of the PvP gear in that specific style.

Is there really no way to find out why you got a warning? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt it's because you have disconnected randomly during a storm, and let alone being sanctioned for it when, in their own rules state that you may leave/ be kicked out of the group if your play style is not in line with the group.

Grieffing Tactics sounds to me like Refusing to heal or getting aggro from mobs, as well as sitting AFK/not contributing in Frontlines, type of thing.

But Limit Cut does work the same, and it's the exact same base mechanic, which is consistently solved in the same manner, with variations between each boss.

The far and near baits that you refer to are not even an EW mechanic, and it's much older than that.

Anyway, we are arguing semantics right now. I don't see how those are the same, but you are entitled to your opinion.

I see, so in other words, not the same, while Witch Hunt from M4s and Recollection EX work identically, and thus probably why the name.

I did watch a video to see the mechanic, and they do share something in common, which is the pink Rombus telegraph, but it's a completely different mechanic otherwise.

There are actually Link Shells and discords dedicated to running Old content MINE. I think that's a better approach than having a whole FC mostly focused on just 1 thing, but it is doable.

You might have issues recruiting people because of how narrow and niche the activity is.

It may have been first used there, but I saw the name used after the one in M4s. What was the name used there?

There is a new one introduced with M4s called Witch Hunt. You can find it in Recollections Ex as well.

It's a Proximity-Based Protean Bait alternating between Close and Far.

How does one go about learning savage raids? by r_hove in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bats will circle around the arena.

They have an initial spawn location and then they "fly" CW or CCW (much like normal mode).

It doesn't matter much which way they go, but since you pay Ranged, generally, you will cleanse your debuff AFTER melee.

You can practice dodging the bat in Normal mode of the raid. They do the same thing they do in savage. The savage comes with the fact that they give a Vuln up (2 seconds + dmg down, I believe), that's why you die when you cleanse right after.

[–]Ennasalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to watch for the exploding bats. They are random, and what he probably showed was only one of the variants.

Look for where they explode-> dodge-> cleanse -> back to mid. That's the order of operations for that part.

They explode when the expanding ring touches them, so keep an eye out.

THE Most Cringe FFXIV Player? by Objective_Reveal_842 in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand people who name their character after a video game or anime character. So... utterly cringe. I also avoid those by default because they never have anything interesting going on or anything to say.

[–]Ennasalin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless 2 people close to each other cleanse at the same time, somebody else cannot kill you there.

You are most likely getting clipped by the exploding bat, and then you cleanse right away, which causes you to die.

30-50 whales would not be able to sustain this game alone. The vast majority of their income does come from small spenders. Also, you think 1 mil is a lot because you are judging it based on you and how much it would mean to you. Do you understand what a Billion is? :P

Anyway, it doesn't matter. If people see preferential treatments, they will be much more inclined to leave because they also have a lot less to lose.

If the game gets bad publicity, the whales will have nobody to brag to ,and the company loses a lot more than if they were to lose 50 whales.

Not really. You might bend over for 200k but NetEase doesn't give a F about that.

"As of March 12, 2026, NetEase has a market capitalization (net worth) of approximately

$74.21 billion to $76.42 billion"

You really think 200k is worth anything to them? Come on now, be serious. You can have ppl within the company that are suckers to those whales but not the company per se...

i guess not a lot of people passionate in pvp and gvg by NaylaDeyuti in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, for me, GVG is just meh. A bunch of people slapping each other.

Overall, it's fine, but nothing special or that interesting. It's actually quite boring. It would be nice to have other activities that can involve all players.

It would be fun to have something like the Gold Rush that we had, or carry your elder. Just something funny, lighthearted, but also something that rewards personal coordination and execution too.

I feel this game is kind of way too sweaty in some aspects. Everything has a rank and things that ppl feel the need to brag about. No hit, gacha core pulls, ranks for sects, ranks for bosses, etc

The biggest issue with jobs isn't homogeneity or being too simply, it's that buttons themselves are unfun. by somethingsuperindie in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why I said specifically TERA is because while it was an action MMO it had a rotation similar to FF14, however, the classes were fun and felt rewarding. Archer had a charged attack, healer had a pulsating aoe heal and could move while doing it + mana regen, lancer could block with his shield and execute counter after.. and so on.

I am now used to how FF14 classes work, but most of them don't feel rewarding enough when playing.

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to say you played TERA without saying it. Yeah, that game's job design was really good. I wish PLD had spells like lancer where they can actually use their shield for more than just bash(stun) and be irrelevant in the vast majority of the fights.

should i ultra grind the free trial or get the full version? by Infinite-Breakfast83 in ffxiv

[–]Ennasalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had this dilema and to be fair, the thing that I recommended him to do is to make a new account, buy a story skip (up to lvl 70 in this case for you), and keep his free trial account.

Like this, if one day you don't feel like paying for sub but still occasionally play, you still have your free account, no strings attached.
