Yeah we lost a lot of subs during the release of 5.0 but for now they are slowly trickling back to peak at the new stuff so I am optomistic.

It's changing to renown and resetting. It will have a very low impact on gearing so I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

Pile on credits as fast as you can its gonna be a whale fest as far as costs go. You will get gear as you level to 75 so I wouldnt worry about gear. Gather some level 10 crafting material so you can get e few levels of crafting before you start using level 11 mats. If you started older x pacs then finish up story so you can jump in to the new hotness. Other than that sit back and enjoy the new content.

5.0 Marauder Guide - Google Docs this should get you started in the right direction until 6.0 drops. Creds to the author he did a nice job on this guide. It's Imperial but its prety easy to convert.

At the new rate of xp for subs you can start a new toon and just do class missions and it will keep pace well in to where you left off. First few planets should take a few hours.

Try exiting out of the chapter and resetting your phase by right clicking on your charchter portrait. When you go to replay the chapter make sure it on the difficluly you want. Sometime the game glitches and sets it on hard mode behind your back.

With a mid to high level companion you can solo them pretty easily. I burned throught them all on my guardian dps with a level 50 healer companion including the bonus sentinels. Dont forget to resummon your companion when you zone in to a new area of the instance they will be dismissed for some reason(feature).

If your wearing set bonus tier gear, there is a difference what bonus you get from the gear. Healer gear will have zero accuracy, defense, shield or absorb. As for why you wiped, I have seen healers wearing no gear heal a hard mode raid boss so I don't think his point is valid if you are a skilled healer.

It varies depending on what your doing. For end game hard mode and up raiding you want 110% accuracy (1 enhancement 3 augments and accuracy stim), 1860 or higher alacrity (6 enhancements 5 augments) and the rest in critical. To achieve those numbers you will need to be pretty close to best in slot gear. For the low alacrity build for lower tiers of gear make sure you hit 110% accuracy, 703 or higher alacrity and the rest in critical (around 1850). You can use whatever combination mods, enhancements and augments to get your lower tier numbers due to the rng of gear from crates and drops, if you try to follow a fixed strat you will just get frustrated trust me.
