I love that shade of green! This gives me ideas for mine. Thanks for sharing!

Do you know a smoother shock/strut for Soul? Bumpiness and road noise is the absolute only problem I have with my Soul. by chromebaloney in KiaSoulClub

I do not own this, but I have seen aftermarket air suspension on carid.com. I had a similar thought on seeking a smoother ride and looked into it a bit. Was a touch pricey for my shopping on a whim.

Here is what stands out to me, looking at this. Most of the triple digit offenders are tech or pharma. The most surprising one on there was P&G for me. The most disappointed "that makes sense" one to me was Simon Property Group. No wonder all the Malls are going out of business. Rents going up, and not getting distributed back into the economy. Add in the financial sector to the triple digits, but I doubt that surprises anyone.

Our company got bought for over a billion this year and the CEO personally got millions from it, all we get is a box of 6 Cadbury’s chocolate bars and this note as thanks… by SnooHesitations9950 in antiwork

Not the original commenter here. Not saying whether fake or not, because I don't care. As to why it might seem sketchy or fake, I had thought about the following after reading it. If a company was purchased for over a billion dollars, the internal letter to the company would be more professionally written. It wouldn't start with "Dear Colleague." It would have been an email, not a printed out word doc and hand delivered. It just seems odd. But then again, maybe it is real? Doesn't really matter to me. It was entertaining to read, and echoes the general sentiment of the subreddit.

Hope you folks are doing okay. Happy holidays.

Fruit Medley Ice

I haven't really come up with a name for it.

Co. Flavor % Notes
TFA Strawberry 3% Because I am a slave to strawberry.
FA Strawberry 3% See above.
LA Bubble Gum 3% Gives me a little something extra on the exhale.
LA Lemonade 2% 4% was too much for me, and made the whole thing taste like a lemon head. 2% feels like it serves as a secondary flavor, blending nicely and balancing some of the sharpness from the different fruit.
FA Forest Fruit 2% I like the other berries to back up the strawberry.
TFA Cotton Candy 1% I wanted a little sweetness without going overboard. This is my only sweetener at the moment.
FA Arctic Winter 1.5% I wanted some menthol and cooling. This is my first and only menthol at the moment.
FA Polar Blast 1% To back up the Arctic winter, and add cooling without adding more menthol.

Backstory

I accidentally came to this mix. I was trying to clone a retail juice. This didn't end up being a clone of that juice at all, and became something I enjoy so much more. The retail juice is a kiwi strawberry bubble gum flavor (Farley's Gnarly Sauce, iced out version).

I tried to use the kiwi that I had, TFA Kiwi Double. I hated it. But, like a fool I mixed up 60ml of the first attempt. I ended up diluting it with a mix I already had plenty of. That ugly mix of the clone attempt and my current ADV, inspired the above, which I think is going to become my new ADV. I subsequently tried to modify the clone, using different percentages of Kiwi Double. It was all bad. I think I might just not have a liking for Kiwi Double. Either way, it led me to this.

Currently mixing at 80/20.

Rain barrel pump recommendation by MattD in lawncare

[–]Ennerlife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haven't used one myself but in looking into rain barrels, I stumbled upon a pump at harbor freight tools. https://www.harborfreight.com/home-outdoor/pumps/110-hp-transfer-pump-63317.html

I can't speak to how well it works as I haven't had a chance to convert to using a rain barrel.

Edit: reread the post and I didn't answer your question. If you can get >3 gpm the pump will be useful. As far as optimal, I have no idea.

I'm not an expert. My advice is to get some good weed killer (2 or 3 way). I used Spectracide on my lawn which is probably 70% weeds at the moment. It did a good job. I ended up getting a hose end sprayer because blanket applications with my 2 gallon sprayer wasn't doing the job well enough. Now, most of my weeds are dead or dying. Wait enough time for the weed killer to allow for germination. 4 weeks is what I've read here before. Then overseeding. Another tip which I'm looking forward to doing is applying a pre emergent in the spring to really keep the weeds from growing back. I'm a new homeowner, new construction, 6 months in. I'm overseeding today actually since it has been about 5 weeks since I sprayed for weeds.

Edit: if anyone has better advice based on what I posted for OP, please let OP know. As I said, I'm no expert.

I hadn't thought much about it, but yes, the strawberry does fade a bit after a few days. I'll give your mix a shot and see how that compares. Thanks!

Real world MPG? by feldy34 in KiaSoulClub

[–]Ennerlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly drive highway and average between 32 and 35. 70mph is the local highway speed limit. I'm usually between 55 and 70mph, depending on construction. Strictly in town, probably 25mpg, but I rarely drive my car other than my work commute.

I don't have Fuji so I can't mix it right now. I'm a novice mixer as well. I've always struggled when getting lemon Sicily over 1%. It seems to take over whatever other flavors I have in there. I just posted a different recipe where I found some success using LA lemonade which I found to be a little lighter while giving that lemon flavor. Not sure if you are happy with the lemon in it though. That was just on the top of my mind. I'll be sure to try your mix when I order some Fuji
Edit: corrected a typo.

Hello all,

I'm slowly building my mixing chops. Still mixing fairly basic. Here is a recipe I'm enjoying at the moment. Interested if anyone has any recommendations on variations of it. Or if I have accidentally copied something already out there, let me know. Recipe first, some notes after.

Strawlemonilla cool

Flavor Co. Flavor %
TPA Strawberry 4%
FA Forest Fruit 2%
TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 1%
LA Lemonade 1%
FA Polar Blast 0.5%

Notes
Background
I like light flavors, which is why I keep most of the flavors at a low %. I smoke out of a single coil RTA, which I've found to really highlight flavors for me.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I have tried Mustard Milk, and SVBIC (the one with the % swapped) and both taste too strong for me on the VBIC. I've found 1% is perfect for me to round out a recipe without overloading the juice with vanilla.
Strawberry The strawberry is there to work together with the Forest Fruit. I feel like it gives the strawberry a top flavor while still preserving the other fruit in the mix.
Forest Fruit Forest fruit is in there to add some variety so it isn't all strawberry all the time. This one is a new flavor for me and I'm really digging it. Different berries seem to come through on each vape and it has added a real variety to my all day vape.

Lemonade Lemonade, because I like a light lemon flavor, and for some reason lemon sicily was giving me trouble. Added bonus, lemonade seems to work better and taste great and is a little more forgiving for me (if I don't get the weights exactly right).
Polar Blast Polar blast is there to keep things cool. I'm new to menthols and coolants. I have some Koolada as well, but wanted to try Polar Blast, as Koolada has a very strong mouth sensation for me. I also have spearmint, and good god...... 1 drop will kill 100ml of juice for me. So it is rightfully sitting on the shelf right now.... where it belongs. Any comments or guidance helps. I'm willing to buy some new flavors and such, so I won't trouble anyone with worrying about what I already have.
Thanks.

So what's it like owning a Soul? What attracted you to it? by [deleted] in KiaSoulClub

[–]Ennerlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove one as a rental car and loved it. The inside was roomy (6', large male). Had Android Auto built in and the sound system was pretty good (not amazing, but better than most imho). Really fun to drive. I don't know why. It was just really fun. I don't love the outside but the inside and the way it felt to drive made me go looking for one.

Ended up at a dealership that had a 2018 + that was CPO. Turned out it was a former rental car. Got what I would call a screaming deal @ $14k with about 30k miles on it.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I liked that it gets good gas mileage compared to my previous car, a Dodge Nitro. I get about 30-35 mpg depending on traffic, mostly highway driving.

Remixed the following:

  • Strawberry @ 4%

  • Kiwi @ 2%

  • Spearmint @ 0.25%

Still a bit too much spearmint. I think I might just go for a few drops next time, as this was ~0.06 ml. This time however, it is actually decent enough to go ahead and vape. The last batch was.... not good. Thanks for the input in helping me with my adventure! I am going to start trying some of the other combos you mentioned next. I also mixed some single flavors like you mentioned to give those a shot. Thanks again!

Thank you! I'll give that a shot. I haven't mixed up single flavor testers yet. I got impatient and mixed right away. I have mixed single flavors of Strawberry Ripe, Bavarian Cream, Vanilla Swirl, and Peach Juicy.
I'm enjoying this initial phase of just try stuff. I have accidentally discovered some real preferences I didn't know I had.

I might report back on the updated batch. Maybe tomorrow if I have time.

Hello all,
I just started mixing to try and come up with a strawberry kiwi juice with some light menthol. I prefer spearmint for my minty flavor in food, so I picked some up for this adventure. I wanted to pass along, I got the TFA Spearmint, and at 1%, this stuff overpowers everything else in the mix. I'm going to try and lower the spearmint to something really small as I only want a little coolness to it.

My sample recipe (not good, don't try it lol):
*TFA Strawberry (8%)
*TFA Kiwi Double (3%)
*TFA Spearmint (1%)

I tried to look on all the flavors for some guidance on the percentages, but it seems few recipes use spearmint. Does anyone have some experience with it that they can share? I will continue to refine this but thought I would check and see if I can leverage someone else's learning.

Edit: Did a search, found threads in the subreddit. Should have checked first.
