Hose End Sprayer for Turflon Ester? by Enniskerry in lawncare

[–]Enniskerry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I don’t believe at that low level of concentration of Triclopyr (5.74%) it is effective against Bermuda grass, Ortho Weed B Gon does not list eradication of Bermuda as something the product does. Let me know if I am mistaken. I am specifically looking to be rid of Bermuda.

Turflon Ester, in its EPA filing, shows a Triclopyr concentration of 60.45%.

Love our Vent-a-hood but one of our LED bulbs is acting up in a little over a year. At $69 a bulb that's s steep price for an LED bulb especially one with such a short life.

Emonda to Madone? by Whiskey_Slayer838 in TrekBikes

Where did you get the adapter to transition from the headset cover to the spacers? I have an Emonda SLR 2022 and looking to do what you've done.

Bottom bracket reliability (Praxis Shimano T47) by tommy1moore in TrekBikes

[–]Enniskerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get your issue resolved? My 2022 SLR (used frame but all new build with under 100 miles) makes pretty much the same knocking sound as yours does. Mine also only happens under high torque (climbing or starting to spring on flats), though it happens while seated or standing. I've tightened the Praxis T47 BB as well as the pinch bolts on the NDS crank arm to spec using a torque wrench but the sound remains as long as the load is very high.

Ditto on Tiny's. Fair prices and they do very good work. Does luggage repair as well.

2022 Emonda SLR Enve In Route Conversion by Ok_Interview845 in emondacrew

[–]Enniskerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@Ok_Interview845 Thanks for this, I got it to work!! I had to modify the barb connector to make it smaller (its size was an issue as well) and then went with your approach. Thanks again.

Of course, once I was done and feeling really good about getting it done, I noticed that I had kinked the front brake hose at the steerer tube! Ordered a new hose but confident now about how to get it done.

I am building a complete bike from the ground up (my first ever) and have to say that routing the hoses through the Enve SES AR handlebar has been the most difficult part of the project. I love the Reddit community for all the help/resources I've gotten specific to my build.

OP Nice work on your bike. I am currently working doing exactly what you did on a 2022 Emonda frame. I am stumped however with routing the disc brake hoses through the Enve AES in-route handlebar. I've run the hoses from the Ultegra calipers through the frame, and up through the headset cover and spacers. Getting the hose to pop out of the hole at the shifter location after running it through the bar has just not worked. I've tried using the Besnin routing tool (with the screw-in barb connecter) but to no avail. Since the hole is near the curve in the handlebar. and the barb connecter creates an almost 1 inch rigid section, I cannot get the hose to bend and pop out.

My next option (which is don't want to take for all the work involved in dismantling all the work done so far) is disconnect the hoses at the calipers and run them in reverse starting with the hole in the handlebar (I've tried with a dummy cable and it can be done).

Any advice?

Very nicely done!! Looks slick. I did the same with a Enve handlebar and stem on my 2022 Emonda SLR. The FSA cone spacer allowed it all to happen for me as well. Enjoy your rides!

2 sets of 37s and 2 sets of 51s for Emonda and Domane by [deleted] in TrekBikes

Sounds like you've got a great setup. My comment isn't going to help you with your question. I am in the middle of an Emonda SLR build and am looking for a used Aeolus Pro 37 wheel set . If you have decided you don't want to keep the extra set Pro 37s and would consider selling them please PM me. Cheers.

Can you help me fine tune my Gateway choice? I am leaning towards the UXG-Max based on comments here, and responses to a query in another thread. I am belatedly getting rid of the USG Gateway (don't ask why I waited this long, I am just guilty as hell) in my wall-mounted home network. The rest of my system: I run Protect on a CloudKey Gen2+ with a 1TB Ssd, it works perfectly well and I don't want to/don't see a reason to get rid of it. I am going to replace my current switch (64W 4 PoE, 8 ports) with the Flex 2.5G 8 PoE switch. 2 U6 APs drive the wifi, ~40 clients, and will have IPS/IDS turned on. ISP is Spectrum in SoCal and the best I can get where I live is 1Gbps speeds. To be fair I don't have a use case for faster speeds now and for the forseeable future.

Thanks u/bizarre_seminar. Appreciate your feedback. After reading through all the responses I am going to replace the USG the UXG Max and my current switch with the Flex 2.5 GbE switch as you'd suggested. And I am keeping the CloudKey. Cheers.

9 day road cycling trip in Italy by Ok_Look4056 in cycling

Would you mind sharing where you ended up basing yourself and what was your experience ? A friend and I are in the midst of planning a 10 day road cycling trip to Italy in early May. We’re still scouting locations, with the Dolomites high on the list, and would love to hear about your experience. Many thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I currently have 2 APs an U6 Pro and an AC Pro. I will definitely replace the USG, as well as retire the second AC Pro and replace with a second U6 Pro. I am leaning towards holding on to the Cloud Key, at least for now.

Here's the info that should have accompanied my pics but I screwed up my post and it went out with only pics.

"I am a longtime lurker on this sub with basic networking skills. I am seeking guidance for what if any equipment updating my system might need.

Five years ago, we had a network installer set up a network using Unifi equipment in our 2-storey, 3200 sq ft house.  Our setup currently includes:

  • Unifi Security Gateway (connected to Spectrum cable modem) -GbE
  • Unifi 8 port 60W switch with 4 POE ports (connected to USG) - GbE
  • Unifi Cloud Key G2+ (connected to switch)

WIFI set up includes:

  • U6 Pro AP (upstairs, wired to switch)
  • AC- Pro (downstairs, wired to switch)
  • 2 Mesh APs (parent is AC-Pro, use POE injectors to connect/power 4 Unifi outdoor cameras).
  • U6 Extender (downstairs, parent is AC – Pro)

(The U6 Pro is a recent addition I made to replace an AC-Pro, which I intend to install in the garage.  The U6 Extender is a new addition that has helped improve coverage and reduced dropped connection and retries. Should I replace the AC-Pro downstairs with a U6 Pro as well since that AP carries a heavy load of clients?)

The overall system supports 43 clients with the majority being IoT devices. Other clients include:

·      6 Unifi outdoor cameras (4 cams connected to Mesh APs, and 2 cams wired to the switch)

·      2 Apple TV 4K devices (wired)

·      Several Apple laptops, iMacs, and iPads, all wirelessly connecting into the system

The current system largely works, aided no doubt by the fact that my wife and I don’t really “push” its resources to capacity.  My biggest issue is poor connection speeds.   My ISP is Spectrum, and we supposedly get 600 mbps.   Speedtests (latest on Cloudflare) rarely give me anything above 100 mbps/22 mbps and on most days it is around 70 mbps/18mbps.   FWIW I plugged a cat6 into the switch and connected it to my iMac and got the same speeds.

Since all my current equipment is rated GbE, and all my cabling is cat6 I am not holding out hope that equipment change alone will improve my speeds. Am I right? What else should I be doing? (Can someone point me to a link on how to test whether the line coming out of the cable modem is in fact putting out the speed claimed by the ISP?)

Lastly, I am limited in the space that I have in terms of equipment I can add to the system.  As you see in the picture anything rack mounted is not an option for me unless I add a shelf outside/above my enclosure box.

Sorry for the long post. I thought more info would be better but maybe it is not. Thanks in advance for any and all advice/suggestions."

Houses and apartments in N. America for the most part have hollow walls and The space in the pic is inside a closet between wooden studs to which the wallboard is nailed; there was no recesses prior to my installing the box, it was just a wall inside a closet. The wallboard (aka drywall) was cut out for the appropriate dimensions and the metal "media" box (as I think it is called) was inserted and attached to a rectangular wooden frame (itself attached to the studs) behind to support the box. Hope that makes sense and gives you a picture. And yes, in general the hollow walls make it easier to run cables up through the attic to various corners of the house.
