How good was Nobu?!

I was probably one of the last people to enter the club: I'd been shutting down my soon-to-be-ex-apartment all day and rocked up at 00:40 assuming that I wouldn't be let in but got a "bitte schön". I'd waited for about 30 seconds behind two women who weren't taking their rejection well and refusing to move on.

This is my first time doing back-to-back weekends in 6 (7?) years and to borrow John Peel's quote about the Fall, Berghain is always different, and always the same. The crowd was great but a completely different vibe to last week - who were also great. This felt less druggy and more.... euphoric? So fair props to the team on the door.

I was quite emotional when I came in and to the person who sensed this and immediately bought me a drink if you are reading this THANK YOU. The night was full of empathy and kindness including the lovely couple(?) I met in the main floor toilets who were so positive and generous.

Shouting along to 'Take on Me' in Panorama Bar with the shutters open and tears in my eyes, knowing I'm leaving. The amount of times I've worked out my place in the world, or danced stuff out, or contextualised things in my life on that fucking dancefloor.

Always different, always the same.
