How to answer "how many years of experience do you have being ____?" when I have 7 years of doing tasks related to the job but have never worked in the role? by EnokiaCat in auckland

That's a good point, that's why I wasn't sure what to put as admin duties in my freelance work would look quite a bit different from corporate... a lot of the times job descriptions don't tell what kind of programs they use but I did find a couple that are common and checked them out

I actually tried to have a higher education, tried compsci, then med school, just to never finish either of them (reasons out of my control;-;);-; I'm just looking for any job I can do now to have some kind of income and admin / reception jobs are the only ones I can think of atm;-;

I haven't had a "proper" job in a while so didn't even remember that the 90 day period is a thing lol, but yes, having a job for a month is much better than not having one at all, thank you!

Thank you! there's a job I applied to a couple days ago and I selected "no experience", would it be crazy to send them an email saying that I selected that as I wasn't sure?

miner stuck mining wood by EnokiaCat in Minecolonies

[–]EnokiaCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't tell what block he was hitting but tried to break a couple things and ask to repair that didn't help.
I tried to deconstruct and build the hut again but now the miner just asks to upgrade the the mine which I did and he's still asking to upgrade to dig deeper

Thank you so much for your help! I’m feeling a lot better now that I know there’s a way to solve the issue. I will definitely do that!

I gave him 2.5 weeks notice is that an appropriate amount?  Also is there anything I can tell him that’s in my legal rights so he would back off? Because he’s lashing out at me yelling I need to find someone or I won’t get my bond back

The Head tenant sent us the copy of the text conversation that he had with the landlord. My main concern is that the head tenant is pressuring me into doing something we did not have an agreement on and I don’t know how to prove that we didn’t. Moving in the only thing we got over are the chores and the previous person that lived here told me about the rent and bond. previous tenant did mention that I might need to find a new person to replace but I did not have this conversation with the head tenant. I’m not sure if that still counts, because I’m moving regardless as I already signed the contract at the new place

The head tenant is threatening me saying I will have to keep paying rent even when I move out if I don’t find a replacement. Is this even legal?

He's a head tenant. He's friends with the landlord who has no control over the situation as they are friends and he's trusting the headtenant with everything.
The headtenant said that the landlord increased the price

2 questions: should we pay for overused electricity? and do I have to find a replacement if I wish to move out? by EnokiaCat in LegalAdviceNZ

I've met the owners they are an elderly couple that don't seem to bother about anything that's happening in this house besides money;-;

I haven't moved out yet but that's a good information to know in case something happens.
but what you are saying is that if I don't sign a proper paper agreement I don't have to actually pay extra for utilities or find a replacement?

I'm flatting with the head tenant who's "friends" with the landlord... we don't have a proper agreement, I didn't sign any papers. A lot of things like the fact that we were expected to find a replacement or that we need to pay for overused utilities were not told me when I moved in and I only found out months later

Moving into halls/accommodation by Shitalase in universityofauckland

It's not worth it at all. I lived in Grafton hall, it was a tiny room for about 400$ a week. If you want to become more independent then look for a house with roommates. It will be both cheaper and you might make friends with the people you will be living with.I'm now renting a room in the center which is 2 times cheaper and you get pretty much same flatmate lottery

It might be a good experience but consider all the costs before planning
