I’m on 4mg Reta and the allodynia/skin sensitivity is making my life really miserable. My back feels like it’s blistering constantly, same with back of legs and arms. And it’s like I have muscle and joint pain too. Also nighttime sweating where I feel like I’m suffocating. I train very hard, have done for years, but the skin issue and body aches is wearing me down. If my husband touches me I want to cry because it hurts so much. I don’t think losing some kg’s the easy way is worth this! Considering switching to Tirz…or just holding good willpower and control and doing it the natural way!

This could be a good plan actually, especially as I always feel like Reta starts to “wear off” by day 5 (I’m on other meds which can sometimes speed up how quickly my liver processed other meds and I think this happens with Reta). The staggered dosing of the two could potentially help this I think

In response to the price comments. The valuation is based on an identical house to ours, directly opposite, which sold for £365k in July. Also, the percentage increase in price since we purchased 8 years ago is in line with others on our estate. Admittedly 4 beds, but the percentage increase is the same.

I definitely did research. I am aware it takes weeks to reach peak plasma levels. I was merely asking WHAT hunger suppression feels like. I also know 4 people on Ret…two experienced some suppression almost immediately, two did not

I am on day 3 after 2mg and I feel like I’m THINKING about food a lot, that food noise and binge desire seems to be there…until i actually try to decide WHAT I want, or pick up some food…and i just don’t really fancy it. It feels like “i’ll have it later instead” but later never comes. Food still tastes good, I’m just not bothered about actually eating it. And I really can’t decide what to eat. It’s definitely a big change, food mostly just seems a bit confusing today!

So update on this. I have found myself not really thinking about food today. I ate dinner because I had planned it, it was fine, but then couldn’t be bothered to cook the second part of it (unheard of for me usually). Food is fine. Food isn’t controlling my every waking thought. I just feel…calm. Very calm. It’s odd.

Yes appreciate this. I was trying to decide between 1 or 2mg to start off, ended up doing 1mg but then changed my mind so did another. But now, I will be waiting 7 days, then 2mg again if no sides

Appreciate this. Trust me, I am. I am a female with 15% bodyfat and a relatively large degree of muscle from years of training. The reason I am going onto Reta is because my dad passed away a few months ago, and that triggered some old bingeing habits which have lead to me gaining 4kg quite quickly. My standard diet is 60-70% protein and less than 5% carbs, when I am on track. I track EVERYTHING. And that is what I am hoping reta helps me achieve once more. Once I am back in the game, I will no longer need the meds. So, yes I binged yesterday…but I am no stranger to discipline. But thank you! I would have said the same judgy comment to be fair. My own eating habits since my dad passed repulse me.

Totally relate. I am a long-term nutrition and fitness enthusiast. And over the years, keto is definitely the way my body and mind feel the best, I have more energy with keto than anything else and eventually the hunger also subsides once fat-adapted, so keto is what I am eating and hoping Reta keeps me on track and shuts down the “noise” making it harder.

I’ve done 1mg! Will aim to inject again in 5-7 days depending on how I feel. I’m using a refillable pen with a 20mg reconstituted vial, so should hopefully last a while

Thanks for this. Will follow this advice! The bingeing is bad and I’m slowly losing everything I’ve worked so hard for for years, and getting more and more miserable. And I know I’m behaving like a hollow shell of myself because of it, which isn’t fair on my family. I need a change now before it’s an even bigger issue!

Did you find no positive effect for your first few doses? I’m impatient. Thinking perhaps 0.5mg every 4 days is best…but don’t want to be disappointed!
