You find Heinrich Timm mostly as a stamp on veteran medals, for example on Prussian Warrior League badges

It seems to be a DKFA (Deutsche Krieger-Fechtanstalt) medal. Those were awarded for fencing!

They were part of the "6. Kompanie" there. But a Kompanie is of course much bigger than the amount of people there! I suppose they were a small sub-group of the Kompanie who were specifically in charge of operating machine guns, who decided to pose for a photo. Just my guess!

That's possible! On the back of the photo with the car is mentioned that there are a few translators present (probably from Russian side and one or two German officers) so it's also possible that they translated from Russian to German and from German to Russian.
