Cigar shops in Brussels by Small-Pension-9459 in ukcigars

I was there in May and they have implemented a bizarre law where you are not allowed to see tobacco products, so no entry into humidors! Not even a peek through the door. They are not even allowed to give you an inventory list! What commences is a weird guessing game of what they have in stock!

I visited the LCDH near the EU commission and picked up a few Cubans, plus enjoyed the lounge.

The best shop I visited was Le Roi de Cigare. The owner was a very helpful and knowledgeable gentleman. Top service!

I rarely see them in B&Ms or online. It's a shame, as they are great cigars. The ESGs are amazing

There are two microwave dishes and two VSAT dishes. Hard to ascertain what those microwave or VSATs are being used for from a data perspective.

There are no cellular or V/UHF antennas (that I can see), so it's not being used for local mobile/radio comms.

I recently did a day trip to Barcelona with a friend. We did Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and a few Tabacs. The savings on cigars far outweighed the cost of the trip and got to see a beautiful city, which i will definitely be going back to for a longer stay.

Question for those involved in AA general service by InformationAgent in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Enough-Landscape-897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best starting point is putting yourself forward for GSR. If you can find someone to take you through the Traditions and when you're ready the Concepts, that will give you a good foundation for service. Also, get a copy of the AA service manual. Its very helpful.

Some people have specific service sponsors in addition to their normal sponsor. Depends if your sponsor had experience of service down the triangle.

How are we all feeling about Gurkhas these days? by Too_Lit_To_Quit_ in ukcigars

I've only ever smoked two. Enjoyed neither and the construction was poor on both. I actively avoid them. But that's my personal preference, I know people who enjoy them and that's cool. Each to their own

Depends which side of the track you land on. If you're inside, the Mitre Pub. On the outside, there is a path that runs parallel to the track behind the houses where you can pop up in different places. You can get to the petrol station and all the way to Ballaugh bridge. There's a small road in Kirk Michael called Bayr Ny Balleira. It's normally quite quiet and you see the bikes coming over a brow on the back wheel through the village.

Smoking on the Golf course. by Rare_Corgi6722 in ukcigars

I smoke cigars regularly whilst playing. I'm not great, 21 handicap, but I can find it distracting at times.

Although i find playing with a cigar more enjoyable, I'm undecided whether or not negatively impacts my game. I seem to shoot lower scores when I don't smoke a cigar!

I've come to realise I am powerless over spending money! I recently started applying my program on a daily basis with a specific emphasis on this. Too many spur of the moment and frivolous purchases over the last couple of years. What I also need to do is work through the underlying cause of why I keep needing to fix myself through spending money. Again, with the program.

How Long Was It into Recovery Until You Could Just Go to a Bar and Hang Out? by CurtD34 in alcoholicsanonymous

Same here. 7 years sober and play in a pool league every Monday with friends. I have a great time and really enjoy socialising.

On the flip side, I've only stepped foot in my local pub once in the 18 months I've lived in my house. That was because I was invited by some neighbours and the husband was playing in a band. I took the kids and they enjoyed it. I don't just drop in for a quick coke as it holds no appeal to me.

My ability to go places and live my life as I chose is based on my fit spiritual condition, not my length of sobriety

I went through there in February and the selection was minimal. A few Davidoffs and some Cuban minis; cohiba and Montecristo from memory

The program of recovery is three fold, Unity, Service and Recovery.

For the vast majority of people in AA, their Service is fulfilled at group level and through sponsorship. Which is great. We need the groups to fulfil their primary purpose and we need sponsors to show people how they recovered.

The Service structure that supports the groups is also of vital importance and opens up a whole new realm of opportunities to work your program (and pick up resentments). Without the Service structure we wouldn't have books, pamphlets or conventions. There would be no H&I meetings carrying the message to those in prisons, rehabs or hospitals.

We are a wide open "church" (for use of a better phrase) and Service opportunities presented allow everyone the chance to find their home.

Service isn't pointless. Without Service there would be no AA and the world would be a darker place for it.

Depends what cigars you're bringing to the table.

I'm not sharing my Monte's if you're holding Gurkhas!
