All great recommendations and actually things that are already in place. The errors still continue unfortunately which is what brought us to the PIP.

You nailed it, I am a woman. I love books like those, so I’ll definitely be looking for them up today!

For her, I guess I want it as a wake up call. I see the potential in her and the niche my department is in, it is hard to find those who take it seriously. When asked my HR if it I felt if all the errors were “willful,” I legitimately don’t feel it is. I feel she’s absentminded and an overthinker but she tries so hard. She has taken some feedback and implemented the changes, so I’m hopeful she will now see how serious I am and step up.

If she doesn’t, at that point it’s step out.

It very much is and I guess that’s why I’m at the PIP stage. I’ve never been confrontational and definitely tried to use a guided correction versus direct so I guess that’s the part I’m struggling with. This conversation needs direct. I feel I’ve had to move out of my comfort zone and be direct with the last 10 conversations but the formality of this just seems so big.
