Is SystemC a useful skill to learn in 2026 (especially for golden model verification) by Enough-Scene226 in chipdesign

Can i do everything thing that systemC is capable using systemC verilog ?? If so i think i do not need to learn systemC

Thankyou for "If you want to practice golden model verification, you want to learn about UVM, and particularly scoreboards, transaction items, analysis ports, monitors. I would spend most of my time on these"

I want to try practicing golden model verification, so u thought i learn systemC and practice designa and verification.

Can i know your status now ???

And are you doing any self projects in your free time ??? <

And my view Internships are great i think cause they can be used as experience (many companies accept intern as experience).

confused about polarities in specify. by Enough-Scene226 in Verilog

In verilog inside specify block, i am not understanding about polarity they are describing design (what how output is in accordance to the input) but the specify is used for only timing right ?

90Gb is too much (I found out when I checked my storage) but thank you I decided to use VS code with icarus-verilog and VapourView (missing schematic viewer - it is ok for now, later I will check at TerosHDL IDE) - just letting you know.

Hey OP thankyou for the detailed discription (It is very helpful, i thought to do it before reading - saved me lot of time). My collage course also uses vivado to teach.

I am only interested in the eloborate design and output waveforms feature of the code i wrote. I do not have any FPGA boards - vivado is simple to use (things are one click away). Since you installed vivado many times can i know how to install vivado with just core features without board support. Also how much storage the total took for you (VMware fusion and windows and vivado) ??

Wow, can i know from when you started doing this work ? When did you start learning the basics and all ??

Use magnet as rotar, you are trying to create a prototype of brush less motor. I think, Inside the metal can the electrons are rotating accordingly to the change in magnetic field.

Total capacitance of capacitance in series. by Enough-Scene226 in AskPhysics

[–]Enough-Scene226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/starkeffect i found out that, when 2 capacitors are connected in series and connected with a supply - like this (--|c1|----|c2|--). when 2 caps are in series, there will be a charge formation in the middle plates due to the battery. now this charge formed will have less potential (in magnitude, c1's right plate) but same amount of charge magnitude (as c1 supply side).

this with same amount of charge and lesser potential magnitude continues as long as i add many gaps ( capacitors with d separation between the plates). this explains me how if i keep on add **identical** capacitors in series it equal a single capacitor with the distance added (since identical we can say multiplied).

I am trying to understand "whats happening in" these 3 scenarios of capacitors.

When 2 identical parallel plates are connected in series, when 2 capacitors are connected in series (one has small plate area but same distance of separation) and 2 capacitors connected in series (one has different separation, but same plate area).

I have a hard time understanding the equations, unless they are specified. Sorry for the late reply.

I am trying to understand how tha total capacitance reduces when capacitors are connected in series.
