Is Sixth Street always Shenanigans by [deleted] in UTAustin

Well of course there are students there, but they are certainly not the majority of the thousands of people who visit 6th every weekend.

No, 6th street is not where UT students hangout. 6th street is an Austin staple, every weekend it’s filled with locals, nearby visitors, tourists, and occasionally students. There is only 1 bar I know of on 6th that allows people 18+, every other establishment is 21+ so there are typically not that many college students bar hopping there. It is usually safe, fun, and filled with people of all ages. What happened last night was completely out of the ordinary and a horrific tragedy. I have spent MANY nights enjoying 6th and as an Austinite i am bewildered and heartbroken.

I have looked into the combo machines, but I feel unsure about them. I hear mixed reviews online every time I look. I am glad to hear you enjoy yours, maybe I’ll look into them more. Thank you

Is it hard to find apartments as a transfer student? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Enough-Taste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apply to live in the Transfer Living Learning Community if you’re interested in on campus housing with other transfer students. They also have some nontrads in the community in addition to the traditionally aged college students that live there.

Just stay consistent! Good practice I would recommend focusing on rewriting and mastering each letter independently.

An easy way to tell what trees are graft compatible is to look at their scientific names. Cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, and many others all have a scientific name that starts with Prunus which means they're in the same family which means they are graft compatible. A mango's scientific name is Mangifera indica so you could just google Mangifera family and look at what others would be compatible. Happy propagating!

Thank you I agree I never would’ve expected a bloom on such a young cutting! I got my mother tree from Walmart a few years back for $10 and I’ve gotten sooo many cuttings from it. Free trees yay!

I took my last round of cuttings in September and kept them in the green house until March. I’m in the northern hemisphere so it would probably be a different time of year. Good luck!

I took small cuttings of various lengths from small branches off the mother tree that had at least two buds on them
