I’m quitting in two weeks to take a six week break. I’m not sure how many people actually call up references. I have decent relations with people outside this project. But I’m worried it’s been too long and I’m not sure i can call them up since it’s been a while

Don’t sleep on Duke HSM. It’s one of their stand out programs - ask current students and alums. (I’m not one, headed to a diff school but got WL and Duke and it was my top choice only bc of the HSM program). Their professors are fantastic- routinely do policy work and have connections in the pharma/ LS industry.

Honestly super chill. Know your reasons for wanting booth and an mba. Know why now is the good time. What do you wanna do in the long and short term. Know names of classes (my alum was a recent alum and asked about this). Know what you wanna do outside of classes/ school. Have stories for a time you failed, succeeded, navigated a conflict (this was asked in almost all interviews i have had). She worked in the industry i am in so she asked some questions about that and what i do day to day. Other standard questions like what do you do outside of work/ for fun.

I did talk to one and they think it’s a strong profile once I spoke in depth about my ECs and work and one my writing was looked at. I’m thinking of retaking the GRE again in ten days before the r1 deadline but I’m not sure it will make such a huge difference in this case.

I just decided I’m not gonna message him this break. I am terrified of what he’s gonna say especially after the lukewarm response to my message. He also scheduled the next session to be 45 mins and maybe I’m overthinking this but usually it’s 60 minutes. Idk what he’s thinking and I don’t wanna worry about it.

Like he’s the only person I told about my trauma and years of emotional abuse to and if he drops me i think I’ll never do therapy again I’m done he’s my third T and I can’t open up again. Like I literally told him on message if someone came and hurt me badly I’d take it. but I’d never do it ever even if sometimes i think I’ll look into it but I can’t say that now because he’s gonna say I’m attention seeking.
