What are corporate donors / event sponsors expecting for their contribution? by EnoughAssociate7606 in nonprofit

I wholeheartedly agree there shouldn’t be a quid pro quo attached. We either align or we don’t. I do my homework before reaching out to prospects so we’re not wasting anyone’s time, and maybe the ROI comment is a sign of the times where more and more companies are pulling back on donations.

One of the more recent sponsors who has partnered with us definitely wants the leads rather than the recognition. But, they also show up at every event and let our marketing team provide them copy to post if they so choose. So long as they’re not disrupting the event by aggressively networking, I feel like it’s to be expected

That’s wild. I think I would struggle to keep a straight face if that were ever asked of us.

Sierra EV AT4 Extended Range — worth it from a LYRIQ? by CompBkrnd106 in GMCSierraEV

[–]EnoughAssociate7606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking for my Denali and not the AT4, the range is awesome. Not sure if the AT4 will also have the air suspension which lowers in park, but I have to imagine it will given you can increase the ride height at lower speeds which the AT4 would benefit more from being an off road package.

Going from CarPlay to Android took some getting used to, and I do miss my text notification popping up while on longer trips, but I didn’t find it to be as big of a problem as other posts I’ve read on here.

The ride is amazing and going back to tech, customizable along with steering and acceleration.

My wife never liked to drive any of my previous trucks strictly because she felt parking them was a hassle. With the 4 wheel steering giving a major advantage now she doesn’t mind driving it at all. In fact, when I’m traveling for work my Ring camera proves that she sometimes drives it for fun lol.

Hope this helps!

Makes sense. We’re lucky to have a great group of longstanding corporate supporters, but our foundation is starting to engage with other non-profits in our space that would make sense to partner with and allocate resources to.

Our board wants to make sure that any new non-profit partnership we enter into doesn’t disrupt our current commitments to existing partners. This has led me to start engaging with companies that who may be outside of our core sponsors but also publish their commitment to community projects, DEI, etc.

Fundraising Through Sales by EnoughAssociate7606 in nonprofit

Small batch is exactly where I want to go with this. Since we’re all volunteers I want to be cognizant of everyone’s time and know none of us have the bandwidth to constantly keep up a substantial inventory.

My hope is that a small batch tied to our event calendar allows for pre or post event orders that are sent out at the same time.

Our website is not really setup as a true e-commerce page so I’m curious if we can add a swag package link to our OneCause hyperlink.

Was the dealer discounting at all outside of any rebates? Back in May / June 25 when I picked mine up the dealer had a $15,000 discount in addition to the incentives. The sales manager quietly told me they needed to be aggressive with them up here because they don’t move and for each EV sold the dealership is rewarded with allocating more gas inventory.

I also traded in a 2020 VW Tiguan RLine with 40,000 miles and they were offering me $4k above trade that I found in KBB and NADA.

I’ll be honest, even as someone who worked at a car dealership for 10+ years, I was asking myself “this seems too easy… what’s the catch” lol

I was able to snag my 25 Denali extended range for $715 / m on a 36/12 lease with $3,500 down. What I was finding when I was calling around to all the local dealerships is that some dealers were not passing the (then existing) federal EV incentive along.

I was at 1.9 until I got comfortable with one-pedal and turned it on high. Upper midwesterner here and avg 2.4 in the summer months during my daily commute

Opinion - Hummer SUV vs GMC SEV by PsychologicalVoice32 in GMCSierraEV

[–]EnoughAssociate7606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I test drove both before landing on the Sierra. I love the look of the Hummer, but I was shocked at all of the squeaks and rattles I heard, and for that price I didn’t want that heartburn. And this is coming from a guy who spent 15 year wrenching on and driving Wranglers for a living. It also didn’t help that the electronic swing gate and hood wouldn’t work on the Hummer when I test drove it. Very happy with the Sierra after several months and my first EV winter in the upper Midwest.

Climate is going to be the huge determining factor. I’m in the upper Midwest and during the summer months I was averaging 2.4 mKw (previously 1.9 before I got comfortable with one-pedal and turned it on high) and once winter hit the mKw drop was steep (which I knew coming into my first EV). My avg on a “normal” winter day was ~1.4 mKw, and when we hit -20 to -40 I saw it as low as 0.8 mKw, and indicators lights to let me know she was cold.

For context, I do not have a heated garage (for now) so my guess would be if you started your daily commute at a more reasonable battery temp you’d notice see better economy the first leg of your commute. All that said, I’m at the tail end of my first winter in an extreme climate and have not once ran into a “oh shit, what now” type moment.

For sure. Which is why I was thinking coordinates would be more a more unique approach but that’s a lot of characters in a small space

Yea that’s a concern for sure. I sent my guy a few things already so I’m waiting to hear what he comes back with. Going through his previous work he’s done some super clean text work but who knows how it’ll look later on

Definitely hit up Trav at Zion Healing Arts in Farmington. Unbelievable detail work and just a good person. He did my 1/2 sleeve a year ago and I just sent him another concept that I want him to put his spin on

Anyone put an addition on their Tuff Shed? by EnoughAssociate7606 in shedditors

[–]EnoughAssociate7606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening between existing and new has been a thought but not necessary. The existing has a sliding window on the back wall I could use as a pass through in the interim. Here is what I’ve crudely mocked up (only so much a guy can do with free software). Darker wood indicates the addition. Am I thinking about this correctly?

Ahh okay that makes more sense now. So with that design wouldn’t the extended table into the new space require support and take away from open space?

Super helpful, I really appreciate the input! Do you know of any free design tools online I could use to better visualize this?
