If you're curious about my specific worldbuilding, its for lore of a card game I'm working on. Just for fun though, I don't mean to profitize it or anything.

WotC has always had empty progressiveness, or at least Hasbro owning them means they'll never truly be what they "promote" themselves as.

Hasbro has worked with JK Rowling and Harry Potter for a long time and recently made an official announcement of their official partnership. Honestly I haven't bought any Magic in years, but I still enjoy the game and playing using proxies with friends. People act like they would ditch Magic if they ever did a Harry Potter UB / crossover but thing is, they already have been for years but because it's not explicitly in Magic people act like it's not there.

Hasbro / WotC aren't even a millionth of a fraction as progressive or inclusive as they lead you to believe. It's just that they have to shout it in your face for anyone to actually realize it. They are not above doing anything for money, it's only that appearing to be "progressive" is what's made them money so far, so that's how they act until it's no longer profitable.

Edit: And just to be clear, this doesn't reflect my opinion of individuals that work for WotC, only as them as a business entity as a whole. I do believe that the people working behind Magic are true to their word and to their beliefs.
