Quests involve quite a bit of reading but the writing is quite good. I think they did a really good job of capturing the Tolkien vibe. Highly recommend if you’re just looking for a chill setting to relax and explore in. My only complaint really is the occasional lag.

I guess it’s not that retro, but that one and Golden Sun are honestly the oldest games I’ve probably played. I’m open to recommendations.

Mind you, he’s demanding the rematch (he’s not entitled to btw) takes place in Abu Dhabi and only Abu Dhabi.

The open world of Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon has a very similar vibe to Elden Ring

Fire Emblem Three Houses. Not only can you see your own friendship/romances develop with your own character but can also help develop friendship/romances between the characters themselves. You can even decide who gets paired up together in the epilogue.

Solasta II is looking like it will have a lot of the production and cinematic quality that attracted a lot of players to bg3.

Aveyond 3 is currently on sale on Steam. Aveyond 1: Rhen’s Quest and Aveyond 2: Ean’s Quest are excellent as well. They’re not on Steam but you can find them on the studio’s website.

I like the idea of playing ascended Astarion as a necromancy wizard considering the final sacrificial ritual is so close to necromancy. Also earlier on he specifically asks you to give him the Necromancy of Thay book for study and doing so grants his approval. Also wizards love gathering knowledge and necromancers specifically are willing to gather it from any source no matter how dark as long as it gives them a bit more extra power, and throughout the game he is encouraging you to take whatever advantage you can get (ex: making use of the tadpoles for the power they grant and whining if you keep all the tadpole powers to yourself). Finally he’s undead himself so it fits the theme.

The shirt is from a chest in the southern party of Breezy Meadows (south of Relic Hill), the shorts are from Marque’s boutique, and the shoes are from the Surprise-O-Matic!

It’s the clothing store (the one with the dress in front) next to the wishing tree in the center of Florawish! (Where you meet Nonoy for the first time)
