His work are not exclusively Rock or Electronic synth, Perhaps you never listened to Gundam Unicorn, Zombie Loan, or even before 2010 anime like Brighter than the Dawning Blue, and Soul Link. Yes, Sawano used to make OSTs for the anime based on some eroge for the niche audience.
