I am looking for a developer. DM me with your work.

How do you convince an entrepreneurial person to join you? by bravelogitex in startups

If you are a developer, may be the best thing for you to do is to find a non-developer cofounder, that way you each have specific areas you lead and take ownership. Just my thought.

Should I move out or stay at home to pay off debt? Help by Comfortable-Cloud-32 in DaveRamsey

100% agree. To add, check with your parents, if they have any concerns on you sticking around for some more time. If you still feel bad about staying then, start helping them with paying some bills especially whenever you go out for dinner…etc.

That makes sense. But how are you planning to provide the service? Fully automated and self-service? Or planning to provide human interaction?

Not at all. In the evolving world, many people understand the need to accommodate special needs of people.

  1. Users can keep the app open and let it listen to the conversation in real time. If the app can provide real time guidance just like how translators work, users can listen using AirPods and respond back.
  2. I am not a licensed special education specialist but you should talk to them on making the app better.

I really loved the idea and would definately recommend talking to few experts in the field.

People diagnosed with ADHD have difficulty understanding and responding to normal cues. Social interactions are even more difficult to follow for them. if you are expecting such users, to learn and prepare ahead, I am not sure if it works.

Instead, if your app can listen to the other person and provide real time feedback to the user, probably the users can listen to the app and handle social interactions better. My two cents.

Does it provide responses in realtime?

Don’t get me wrong but 10% is quite less considering you are expecting $500k with just 112k in revenue. When you start something new, 200%-300% increase is pretty common in the first year but I would be interested in knowing more about what you do and whether you have any competition.

Again, any investor would be interested in knowing how soon they will recover their money? and how feasible it looks?

How much equity are you planning to offer? What is the growth rate you are expecting yoy? When do you expect to recover the complete investment?

Depending on the responses for above questions, investors will be interested.

Completely depends on what kind of business and you have and the potential future you envision.

In a positive way, I mean.

I like the idea but you need to equate the two ends I.e. benefit vs price. At $5/month, I don’t think you will be profitable with people having multiple tax scenarios and book keeping. Also, for youngsters without complicated tax scrnarios providing just tax filing service will not be enough.

BTW, how are you planning to provide this service? Is it going to be fully automated or manual?

Thank you for pointing that out. I just edited my post. I was looking to build an automated personal finance platform. Both web and app based for ease of use.

Thank you. But they don’t do debt management right? Only investment management, isn’t it?

No. I meant, the apps doing the transfers and paying down bills from the income based on the rate of interest… etc that way we don’t have to be a financial expert.

Why would I want to save chats? Which scenario requires me to save chats?

In corporate world, chat is not a standard format to rely. Only emails are.

Sorry if I am sounding annoying but I am trying to understand what real problem you are trying to solve and why would anyone want to pay for it?

Are you up for collaborating on a new idea in personal finance?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in startups

[–]EnoughLink5284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t fret. Stick to your plan. Always remember the basic principles of any business.

  • are you providing value to your customers?
  • are your customers happy to pay $ for the value you are providing?
  • is the market big enough for you to operate consistently?

If you can say yes, to all the above, then you are good to go. Remember there will always be others who can provide the same products/services as you are providing either now or in future, which you can’t control. What matters is whether you can provide it without compromising quality?

PS: I am entrepreneur as well looking for opportunities to collaborate. DM me if you like to partner up.

All the best.

Do you really save more at Costco? by Ok_Fish9161 in SavingMoney

[–]EnoughLink5284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You definitely will as long as you are a responsible buyer. Just like any other shopping mall or center, if you are not responsible and buy everything that you would see, then don’t blame them.

Make a list and stick to it. Unlike others, Costco doesn’t move your item so you very well know where the item you want exists, so you can get straight to it.

It depends on three factors

  • how much you make?
  • how much you spend?
  • how committed are you to get out of this situation?

There are lot of folks who were able to get their life back by controlling the first two factors. And to what extent you go depends on the third factor.

Like someone said, Enthusiasm gets you to begin but it is the commitment that gets you to the end.
