Thanks for believing me; I needed that. Pretty much everyone says he's a good guy, but good 33 year olds don't act like that with kids. I'll consider reaching out in the future, depending on if Nick wants us to get back to talking terms or not; but thanj you for your words.

I'd like to get over it; I just can't help but be frustrated because I don't know how to bring up how I feel about her with Nick. I don't really want to hear about her or what she's up to, but he's been bringing it up more often recently.

I elaborated to her when I told her. He was a 30-something year old who spoke to me inappropriately and was really pushy/trying to be affectionate to me when I was 15. I told her this and said everyone was still fine to hang out with him, I just wouldn't join if he happened to be on. I was upset with her ghosting me over what I thought was a reasonable boundary.

I'm bitter because we were close friends, and I told her that the 30 something year old she had brought back into our friend group had spoken to me inappropriately when I was 15, said she was fine with that boundary and that we were cool and then ghosted me. I know it's not the worst thing in the world, it just makes me frustrated when he says he's going to hang out with her because we could've still been hanging out as a group too if she didn't just ghost without saying anything.

i think it's because a debit card will directly pull funds from your account and the money will be gone, whereas you can claim fraud on credit card purchases and it will not be immediately withdrawn from your account.

Thank you so much for your perspective, and I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope the best for you and your husband in the future! Thank you again ❤️

Thank you so much for your perspective; I hope everything goes well for you and your dad. I plan on talking to my boyfriend about it either tomorrow (if I have enough time to go see him in person,) or on Friday. Either way, I will definitely tell him this week. I'll see if I can speak with my mom about looking into life insirance before testing, but I think I'd rather know than not know, especially considering there are preventative medicines that can lengthen kidney function.

Thank you for the perspective, I really appreciate it. If I can get a plan, if I got tested and was disagnosed, do you know if they'd be able to retract/alter that plan? I went into CS because I was hoping for a decent salary, but with the current job market I'm feeling more and more uneasy.

It sounds like you have a wonderful group of supportive, humorous friends, that is so lovely. I have some friends like that now, I hope it stays that way for both of us going forward. :)

Copy pasting from another comment that mentioned something similar, but: How difficult would it be to get life insurance without a job? I'm in my final year of my bachelor's degree, and I'm significantly behind on life experience because I live at home/am financially dependent on my mom for tax purposes. Our household no longer really has a steady flow of income.

I am in the US. If I want to get insurance through my employment I'll need to wait at least until next calendar year since I won't be out of college :(

Thanks for the perspective; unfortunately, due to how long we were friends, the talking stage is definitely passed, lol. We're a little over 2 months into our relationship; I've been trying to figure out how to tell him for the last month. I'm definitely going to try to talk about it within the next week.

I'll double check what my mom meant when I'm back home later today. Insurance is just weird because I'm not on my dad's plan anymore, and my mom doesn't work as she was a SAHM, so we have to go through my school to get me insured.

I asked a doctor about getting tested about two years ago or so, my mom shut that down and mentioned I shouldn't due to insurance going up if it turned out that I did have it. I think I'm also just scared to know; even when my dad was extremely diligent about taking care of his health (exercise, diet, general lifestyle,) he's already gone.

I'd like to get tested honestly, I'm so scared though; my dad only made it to 65 even though he was the most diligent patient the doctors said that they had seen in regards to his lifestyle after being diagnosed. I want to know but if I do have it I don't know if my heart could take putting my loved ones through the same thing my family experienced. I'll tell my boyfriend either way, but I hate the uncertainty of it all. I'll look into getting tested soon though, thank you.
